मुंबई। मुंबई के कमला मिल्स कम्पाउंड के मोजोज रेस्टोरेंट में देर रात आग लगने से कम से कम 15 लोगों की मौत हो गई और 12 लोग घायल हो गए।
आधिकारिक सूत्रों के अनुसार दमकल विभाग को करीब रात साढ़े 12 बजे कमला मिल्स कम्पाउंड की मोजोज बार एंड रेस्टोरेंट में आग लगने की सूचना मिली। आग 30 मिनट के भीतर पूरे रेस्टोरेंट में फैल गई। दमकल कर्मियों ने मौके पहुंचकर आग पर काबू पा लिया। आग में झुलसे लोगों का अस्पताल में उपचार चल रहा है।

बताया जा रहा है कि आग शार्ट सर्किट की वजह से लगी। जिस समय आग लगी तब वहां एक बर्थडे पार्टी चल रही थी और उसमें 50 लोग मौजूद थे।
दमकल अधिकारी के अनुसार मारे गए लोगों में अधिकतर महिलाएं शामिल हैं जो रेस्तरां की छत पर पार्टी में शामिल होने के लिए गई थीं। आग लगने कारणों का अभी तक पता नहीं लग पाया है।
अधिकारी ने बताया कि कूलिंग अभियान अभी जारी है। घायलों में से कुछ की स्थिति गंभीर है। बीएमसी के आपदा प्रबंधन इकाई के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि घायलों को केईएम और सियोन अस्पतालों में भर्ती कराया गया है।
बताया जा रहा है कि सोनिया दक्षिण गोवा के एक रिजॉर्ट में ठहरी हुई हैं और जनवरी के पहले सप्ताह में उनकी वापसी हो सकती है।
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने मुंबई की एक इमारत में आग लगने की घटना पर गहरा दु:ख व्यक्त किया।
प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय ने ट्वीट किया, 'मुंबई में आग लगने की घटना से दु:खी हूं। दु:ख की इस घड़ी में मेरी संवेदनाएं शोकसंतप्त परिजनों के साथ हैं। मैं घायलों के शीघ्र स्वस्थ होने की कामना करता हूं।'

भाजपा सांसद किरीट सोमैया ने ट्वीट किया, 'मुंबई के कमला मिल्स परिसर स्थित पब में आग लगने की घटना को लेकर मैंने मुख्यमंत्री एवं बीएमसी आयुक्त से अनुरोध किया है कि वे देखें कि ऐसे पब, हुक्का पार्लर एवं मुंबई के फार्सन मार्ट/वर्कशॉप्स में ऐसे हादसों से बचने के पुख्ता इंतजाम हैं या नहीं। दो सप्ताह पहले कुछ इसी तरह की घटना में फार्सन वर्कशॉप साकीनाका में आग लगने के कारण कई लोग मारे गए थे।'
उन्होंने कहा कि मैं समझता हूं कि कमला मिल्स में ऐसे कई प्रतिष्ठान अवैध हैं, इनमें से कुछ को बाद में नियमित कर दिया गया और जहां आग लगने की घटना हुई वह गैरकानूनी तरीके से बना था।
कमला मिल्स कम्पाउंड में परिष्कृत औद्योगिक परिसर, रेस्तरां, वाणिज्यिक प्रतिष्ठानों के अलावा कई मीडिया संस्थानों के कार्यालय स्थित हैं। (एजेंसियां)
