खजुराहो नृत्य समारोह का तीसरा दिन नृत्य प्रस्तुतियों के नाम रहा, इस दिन प्रस्‍तुतियों में दो भरतनाट्यम और एक ओडिसी नृत्‍य शामिल था। तीसरे दिन की शाम का आगाज़ शोभना चंद्रकुमार पिल्लई की एकल भरतनाट्यम प्रस्तुति से हुआ। भारतनाट्यम की उनकी यह प्रस्तुति  पारंपरिक मूल्यों और नवाचार को समाहित करती हुई प्रतीत हुई।

भरतनाट्यम की प्रवाही मनोहरता उनकी वशिष्ठ शैली है। उनकी इस प्रस्तुति में सौंदर्य कलात्मकता  व अध्यात्म का मिश्रण स्पष्ट रूप से झलक रहा था। भारतीय शास्त्रीय नृत्य भरतनाट्यम में अपना महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देने वाली शोभना चंद्रकुमार पिल्लई की यह प्रस्तुति भाव, रस और ताल इन तीन कलाओं के समावेश से परिपूर्ण थी। उन्होंने अपनी इस प्रस्तुति की शुरुआत राग मल्लारी तीन ताल में निबद्ध पारंपरिक रचना से की। देवी के विभिन्न रूपों का वर्णन लय व ताल का सुन्दर समायोजन इस नृत्य में सहज मुखरित हुआ।

इसके पश्चात  कल्याणी में वर्णम और भरतनाट्यम के इस अंतिम अंश में उन्होंने बहुविचित्र नृत्य भंगिमाओं के साथ- साथ नारी के सौन्दर्य के अलग-अलग लावण्‍यों को प्रस्तुत किया।

इस शाम की दूसरी नृत्य प्रस्तुति प्रसिद्ध ओडिसी नृत्यांगना सुप्रभा मिश्र और उनके समूह की थी। एक पारंपरिक भारतीय पारंपरिक लोक कथा ‘रानी की बावड़ी’ पर आधारित यह ओडिसी में सर्वथा नए ढंग से प्रकट हुई। इसके पश्चात विष्णु पद पर केन्द्रित की उनके नृत्य समूह की प्रस्तुति सदियों से भारतीय जनआस्था में शामिल पुराणों में वर्णित विष्णु के भिन्न-भिन्न स्वरूपों को दर्शाने वाली थी।

इस शाम की अंतिम प्रस्तुति विख्यात भरतनाट्यम नृत्यांगना आनंदा शंकर जयंत और उनके समूह की थी। नवरसा-एक्सप्रेशन ऑफ लाइफ शीर्षक वाली उनकी इस प्रसिद्ध प्रस्तुति में जीवन को केन्द्र में रखकर नृत्य की संरचना की है। दक्षिण भारत की इस पारंपरिक नृत्य शैली में आनंदा शंकर ने नवाचार को प्रकट करने प्रयास किया।
