अयोध्या के धन्नीपुर में बनने वाली मस्जिद की डिजाइन को लकेर अब मुस्लिम नेताओं में ही मतभेद हो गए हैं। फिलहाल जो मस्जिद का डिजाइन जारी किया है वह इंडो इस्लामिक कल्चरल फाउंडेशन ने तैयार किया है। इसे एमएम अख्तर ने डिजाइन किया है, जिस पर सहमति वक्फ बोर्ड के चेयरमैन व ट्रस्ट के अध्यक्ष जफर फारूकी व अतहर हुसैन ने दी है।
प्रस्तावित नक्शे के मुताबिक 5 एकड़ की जमीन पर मस्जिद और अस्पताल की बिल्डिंग के साथ-साथ लाइब्रेरी, म्यूजियम व कम्युनिटी किचन भी प्रस्तावित है। लेकिन, मस्जिद का नक्शा आते ही मुस्लिम नेताओं के बीच ही विवाद शुरू हो गया है।
बाबरी मस्जिद के पक्षकार रहे इक़बाल अंसारी ने साफ तौर पर कहा है कि वे इस विदेशी नक्शे को नहीं मानते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि सवाल बाबरी मस्जिद का है, जिसका फैसला सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने करते हुए 5 एकड़ जमीन दी है और मस्जिद का जो नक्शा बनाया गया है, वह मस्जिद लगता ही नहीं है क्योंकि मंदिर व मस्जिद की अपनी एक पहचान होती है।
उन्होंने कहा कि जफर ने जो नक्शा मस्जिद के नाम पर लाया है, उसे पूरी दुनिया के लोग स्वीकार नहीं करेंगे। इक़बाल ने कहा कि हम हिंदुस्तानी हैं और मस्जिद का नक्शा भी हिंदुस्तानी होना चाहिए।
दूसरी तरफ, बाबरी मस्जिद के ही पक्षकार हाजी महबूब ने अंसारी पर ही सवाल खड़ा करते हुए कहा कि इकबाल हैं क्या अपने बाप कि जगह मुद्दई। उनका कोई ईमान-धर्म नहीं हैं। वो कहीं हिन्दुओं के यहां माला पहन लेते हैं तो पूजा करने चले जाते हैं। मुसलमान उन्हें अपने से अलग कर चुके हैं।

मस्जिद के नक्शे पर हाजी ने कहा कि मस्जिद मस्जिद होती है, चाहे उसका नक्शा विदेशी हो या हिन्दुस्तानी। इंडियन मुस्लिम समाज के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष मो. इस्माइल अंसारी ने अंसारी की बातों का समर्थन करते हुए कहा कि मस्जिद का स्वरूप हिंदुस्तानी ही होना चाहिए।
मस्जिद के साथ अस्पताल भी : 3500 स्क्वेयर मीटर जमीन पर मस्जिद बनेगी, जबकि 24150 स्क्वेयर मीटर में अस्पताल और कल्चरल बिल्डिंग का निर्माण किया जाएगा। मस्जिद में 2000 लोगों के एक साथ नमाज़ पढ़ने की व्यवस्था होगी। 200 से 300 बेड का मल्टीस्पेशलिटी अस्पताल होगा।
मस्जिद परिसर में सोलर एनर्जी का इस्तेमाल होगा। लगभग 2 साल में पूरा होगा मस्जिद और हॉस्पिटल का काम। नक्शे के मुताबिक मस्जिद में गुम्बद नहीं होगा बल्कि खाड़ी देशों की मस्जिदों की इसका डिजाइन होगा।
