इस बार हम 61वाँ गणतंत्र दिवस मना रहे हैं। बीते वर्षों में भारतीय जनतंत्र ने अपनी सशक्त भूमिका दर्ज की है। इसका पूरा श्रेय भारत के उन युवाओं को जाता है। जिसकी सोच में देश की राजनीतिक और प्रशासनिक व्यवस्था को लेकर क्रांतिकारी बदलाव आया है। इन साठ वर्षों में भारतीय युवाओं के खास अंदाज ने विश्व के दिग्गजों का ध्यान आकर्षि‍त किया है।

पिछले 10-15 सालों में भारत के युवाओं में सकारात्मक परिवर्तन की सुखद बयार आई है। उनमें निर्णय लेने की क्षमता का विकास हुआ है। करियर हो या जीवनसाथी का चुनाव, पहनावा हो या भाषा, जीवन-शैली हो या अपनी बात को रखने का अंदाज। एक बेहद आकर्षक आत्मविश्वास के साथ भारतीय युवा चमका है। आश्चर्यजनक रूप से उसके व्यक्तित्व में निखार आया है।

उसे जिद्दी कहना जल्दबाजी होगी यह जुनून और जोश की दमदार अभिव्यक्ति है। उसे अगर सही दिशा में सही अवसर मिलें, या इसे यूँ कहें कि उसे स्वयं को अभिव्यक्त करने का स्पेस दिया जाए, उस पर विश्वास करने का जोखिम उठाया जाए तो कोई वजह नहीं बनती कि उसमें शिथिलता के लक्षण भी नजर आ जाएँ। यह भारतीय युवा के कुशल मस्तिष्क की ही तारीफ है कि वैश्विक स्तर पर उस पर विश्वास किया जा रहा है। बड़ी-बड़ी जिम्मेदारियाँ उसे सौंपी जा रही है।

भारतीय युवा और राजनीति
यह इस देश की राजनीति के लिए निसंदेह शुभ और सुखद लक्षण है कि बुजुर्गों की भीड़ में अब युवा चेहरे चमक रहे हैं। चाहे राहुल गाँधी हो या सचिन पायलट, मिस संगमा हो या ‍प्रियंका गाँधी। ज्योतिर्दित्य सिंधिया हो ‍संसद में बैठें ये सिर्फ मोम के पुतले नहीं हैं बल्कि समय-समय पर जनता की आवाज बनने में भी ये गुरेज नहीं करते। इनकी उम्र कम लेकिन हौसलें बुलंद है। देश की जनता बुजुर्ग नेताओं के कोरे भाषण सुन-सुन कर थक चुकी थी और कहना होगा कि यह बदलाव उन्हें सुहाना लग रहा है।

भारतीय युवा : आक्रोश और इच्छाएँ
यहाँ भारत के युवाओं को संयम की डोर थामने की आवश्यकता है। लेकिन पूर्णत: युवाओं पर दोष मढ़ना भी ठीक नहीं है। पल-पल की अव्यवस्था और भ्रष्टाचार को देखते हुए उसका खून खौल उठता है। सही जगह पर आक्रोश व्यक्त नहीं हो पाता है फलस्वरूप यह कहीं और किसी और रूप में निकलता है। जिसका शिकार कोई निर्दोष होता है। वर्तमान फिल्मों और टीवी के बेतुके कार्यक्रमों ने उसे दिग्भ्रमित किया है।

आज देश के सारे मीडिया का लक्ष्य युवा है। चाहे कॉस्मेटिक्स हो या बाइक्स, मोबाइल के नित नए मॉडल हो या महँगी जिन्स आज ये सब फैशन कम और जरूरत अधिक बन गए हैं। यहाँ तक कि विज्ञापनों में पुरानी सामान्य जरूरत को भी नए रंग-रूप में ढाल कर इस तरह पेश किया जा रहा है मानों इसे बताए गए रूप में पूरा नहीं किया गया तो उसका जीवन ही बेकार है। अफसोस कि युवा इस षडयंत्र में उलझते दिखाई दे रहे हैं।

आज का भारतीय युवा दो वर्गों में बँटा दिखाई देता है। एक तरफ कुछ कर गुजरने का असीम जोश उसमें निहित है दूसरी तरफ वह स्वतंत्रता के नए और कुत्सित अर्थ को ही असली आजादी मान बैठा है। स्वच्छन्दता और उच्छ्रंखलता किसी भी रूप में आजादी की शुभ परिभाषा नहीं है। असली आजादी, गरिमा और मर्यादा की परिधि में रह कर वैचारिक रूप से परिवर्तन लाने की कोशिश को कहा जाना चाहिए। ना कि सिर्फ डिस्को थैक में अपना समय गुजारने और सेक्स तथा हिंसा को अपनी जिन्दगी का लक्ष्य बना कर चलने को। यह किसी भी काल में आजादी के मायने नहीं हो सकते। यहाँ इस मोड़ पर युवा वर्ग को समझना और संभलना होगा कि मर्यादा और स्व-अनुशासन के दायरों में व्यक्त स्वतंत्रता की महत्ता क्या है?


ग्रामीण युवा ने बनाई अपनी पहचान
यह भी एक ठंडक देने वाला तथ्य सामने आया है कि गाँव का भोला-भाला गबरू जवान अब सूचना और संचार प्रौद्योगिकी पर सहज पकड़ हासिल कर रहा है। अब अपनी विलक्षण प्रतिभा के दम पर उसने बरसों की हीन भावना और संकोच पर विजय हासिल कर ली है। प्रतियोगी परीक्षा से लेकर चिकित्सा, इंजीनियरिंग और टेक्नोलॉजी हर विधा में अपनी क्षमता का परचम लहराया है। आज शहर के युवा जहाँ उच्च उपभोक्तावादी ताकतों के शिकार हो रहे हैं वहीं अधिकांश ग्रामीण युवा ने अपने लक्ष्य पर से निगाह हटाने की गलती नहीं की है।


साहित्य और युवा
पिछले दस सालों में भारतीय लेखनी ने उपलब्धियों के खासे परचम लहराएँ हैं। पत्रकार नलिन मेहता की किताब 'इंडिया ऑन टेलीविजन' को एशियन मीडिया पर सर्वश्रेष्ठ किताब और सर्वश्रेष्ठ लेखक का पुरस्कार मिला है। यूनेस्को के सांस्कृतिक संकाय एवं रूसी इंटरनेशनल एसोसिएशन आफ नेचर क्रिएटिविटी ने विश्व धरोहरों एवं रचनात्मक कला पर आधारित चित्रों का एल्बम जारी किया जिसमें दिल्ली की चार छात्राओं के बनाए चित्रों को शामिल किया गया। ये छात्राएँ फरीदाबाद की अपूर्वा सगहल, निकिता दहिया एवं रीमा घोष तथा नेताजी नगर की सौम्या शिवानंदन हैं।

मराठी के मशहूर कवि मंगेश पडगाँवकर ने इस साल मार्च में अपनी तीन किताबें ब्रिटेन के स्ट्रैटफोर्ड शहर में स्थित शेक्सपीयर मेमोरियल को दी है जिन्हें मेमोरियल के जनसंग्रह वाले हिस्से में रखा गया है। नोबेल पुरस्कार से सम्मानित रवीन्द्रनाथ टैगोर के बाद पडगाँवकर दूसरे भारतीय कवि हैं जिनकी किताबें इस मेमोरियल में रखी गईं हैं। वहीं पिछले साल के बुकर पुरस्कार विजेता अरविंद अडिगा के विजेता उपन्यास 'द व्हाइट टाइगर' के प्रचार अभियान को 2009 का एशियन मल्टीमीडिया पब्लिशिंग पुरस्कार मिला।

खेल और भारतीय युवा
खेल-जगत में भारतीय युवाओं की प्रतिभा को विश्व स्तर पर सराहा गया है। जहाँ सानिया मिर्जा और सानिया नेहवाल युवतियों के लिए आदर्श बनीं वहीं राज्यवर्धन सिंह राठौर, अभिनव बिन्द्रा, विजेन्द्र सिंह, सुशील कुमार ने ओलंपिक में वह कमाल कर दिखाया जिसकी भारतीय जनता को लंबे समय से तमन्ना थीं। विश्वनाथन आनंद और पंकज आडवाणी ने शतरंज के सिद्धहस्त खिलाडियों के रूप में पहचान बनाईं। क्रिकेट में सचिन, धोनी, विराट, सहवाग के साथ सभी युवा खिलाडियों ने दमखम दिखाया है। कुश्ती में मल्लेश्वरी का नाम चमका तो पर्वतारोहण में आरती का। कहना होगा कि भारतीय युवा प्रतिभा ने जिस तेजी से अपनी दक्षता सिद्ध की है उसका सही मूल्यांकन किए जाने की आवश्यकता है।

भारतीय गणतंत्र 61वें साल में प्रवेश कर रहा है। इस मुकाम पर हम उम्मीद करें कि भारतीय युवाओं की रचनात्मक शक्ति को सही परिप्रेक्ष्य में पहचाना जाएगा और उसकी सोच के समंदर में और अधिक सकारात्मक लहरें आलो‍डि़त होगीं। तब ही तो युवा भारत के युवा सपनों की चमकीली पतंग को नई उड़ान मिल सकेगी।
