प्रतिवर्ष ही रामभक्त हनुमान की जयंती देशभर में उल्लास के साथ मनाई जाती है। चैत्र शुक्ल पूर्णिमा को यह पर्व
बड़े ही उत्साह व धूमधाम के साथ मनाया जाता है। कहते हैं कि इस दिन हनुमानजी का जन्म हुआ था। पवनपुत्र हनुमान को सर्वशक्तिमान देवता के रूप में स्थान प्राप्त है। इस दिन विशेषकर हनुमानजी को प्रसन्न करने के विभिन्न उपाय भी किए जाते हैं। यहां प्रस्तुत हैं, इंदौर स्थित प्राचीनतम हनुमान मंदिरों की जानकारी -
1. वीर बगीची हनुमान मंदिर : इंदौर के पंचकुइया क्षेत्र की वीर बगीची में स्थित हनुमान मंदिर करीब 400 साल पुराना बताया जाता है। इस मंदिर में स्थापित प्रतिमा खजूर के पेड़ से निकली थी जिसे बाद में ऊपर लाकर मंदिर में स्थापित किया गया। यह मंदिर अग्नि अखाड़े से संबंधित है। मंदिर की चौथी पीढ़ी के पुजारी मोहनलाल पारीख ने बताया कि मंदिर से जुड़े कई चमत्कार हैं। लेकिन एक बात तय है कि यहां आने पर व्यक्ति के मन को शांति मिलती है। हनुमान जयंती पर यहां विशेष आयोजन होते हैं। पूजा-अर्चना और महाआरती के साथ ही यहां आयोजित भंडारे में हजारों श्रद्धालु प्रसादी ग्रहण करते हैं।
2. ओखलेश्वर हनुमानजी : मध्यप्रदेश के इंदौर जिले से 35 किलोमीटर दूर बाई ग्राम में नवग्रह शनि मंदिर से 18 किलोमीटर आगे स्थित ग्राम ओखला में ओखलेश्वर मठ में हनुमानजी की स्वयंभू प्रतिमा है। ब्रह्मलीन ओंकारप्रसादजी पुरोहित (पारीक बाबा) ने 1976 में यहां अक्षय तृतीया के दिन जो अखंड रामायण पाठ प्रारंभ किया था, वह अब भी जारी है और अनवरत जारी रहेगा।
यहां हनुमानजी की प्रतिमा की एक खासियत है कि वे शिवलिंग उठाए हुए हैं जबकि अमूमन वे पर्वतधारी के रूप में ही देखे जाते हैं। मठ पर हर माह रोहिणी नक्षत्र के दिन हनुमानजी को चोला चढ़ाया जाता है। रामनवमी, शिवरात्रि और हनुमान जयंती पर यहां मेले का विशेष आयोजन भी होता है।
3. चमत्कारिक रणजीत हनुमान : रणजीत हनुमान मंदिर का अस्तित्व : बात है वर्ष 1907 की, तब गुमाश्ता नगर क्षेत्र में बसाहट नहीं हुई थी, वहीं पहलवानी का शौक रखने वाले अल्हड़सिंह भारद्वाज हनुमानजी के उपासक थे। उन्होंने तब इस वीरान जंगल क्षेत्र में पतरे की ओट लगाकर हनुमानजी की प्रतिमा स्थापित कर दी और छोटा-सा अखाड़ा बना दिया। इस तरह रणजीत हनुमान मंदिर अस्तित्व में आया। स्वर्गीय अल्हड़सिंह के पोते विजयसिंह भारद्वाज बताते हैं कि इस मंदिर से जुड़े अनगिनत किस्से हैं। रामनवमी और हनुमान जयंती पर यहां विशेष श्रृंगार, अनुष्ठान, पूजा-पाठ और आरती की जाती है।

4. सिद्धेश्वर हनुमान मंदिर : चिड़ियाघर के सामने स्थित सिद्धेश्वर वीर हनुमान मंदिर करीब 120 साल पुराना बताया जाता है। यहां हर मंगलवार श्रद्धालुओं का तांता लगा रहता है। मंदिर के पुजारियों में से एक विद्याशंकर शुक्ला बताते हैं कि यह मंदिर निजी है और उनके परिवार की 7वीं पीढ़ी पूजा-पाठ और मंदिर की व्यवस्था संभालती है। शुक्ला ने बताया कि मंदिर की मूर्ति दिव्य स्वरूप में है और पहली बार में ही भक्त अपलक मूर्ति को निहारने पर बाध्य हो जाता है। हनुमान जयंती पर यहां रुद्राभिषेक, स्वर्ण श्रृंगार और महाआरती होगी।
5. दक्षिणमुखी संजीवनी हनुमान : नरसिंह मंदिर, नरसिंह बाजार में स्थित दक्षिणमुखी संजीवनी हनुमान का मंदिर करीब 150 वर्ष पुराना है। 5 फुट ऊंची दक्षिणमुखी प्रतिमा संजीवनी पर्वत धारण किए काफी चमत्कारी है। यहां वर्षभर में करीबन 25 श्रृंगार चोले मूर्ति को धारण कराए जाते हैं।
6. बाल हनुमान : राजवाड़ा के पास (खजूरी बाजार) स्थित श्रीराम भक्त बाल हनुमान मंदिर काफी प्राचीन है। यहां भक्तों की आस्था का आलम यह है कि करीब साढ़े तीन साल तक चोला चढ़ाने वालों के नाम तय हो चुके हैं। इस मंदिर की 8वीं पीढ़ी के पुजारी अभिषेक दुबे ने बताया कि उनके पूर्वजों ने इस मंदिर को स्थापित किया था। सबसे पहले पुजारी भाऊराम भट्ट थे।
यहां बाल भक्त हनुमान की लघु और आकर्षक और मनमोहक प्रतिमा है, जो हाथ जोड़कर खड़ी है। इसके सामने ही श्रीराम दरबार है। मंदिर में 40 साल से निरंतर करीब डेढ़ घंटे आरती होती है। हनुमान जयंती पर यहां अभिषेक के साथ विशेष चोला चढ़ाया जाता है। रात में स्वर्ण श्रृंगार कर जन्म आरती की जाती है। सुबह 6 बजे होने वाली आरती में बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालु शामिल होते हैं।
7. विश्वप्रसिद्ध उल्टे हनुमान : अनगिनत भक्तों की मनोकामना पूरी करने वाले और आस्था के प्रतीक संकटमोचक बजरंगबली के देशभर में अनेक ऐसे मंदिर हैं, जो अपनी विशेषताओं के कारण प्रसिद्ध हैं। कोई मंदिर पुरातन इतिहास और परंपरा के कारण जाना जाता है तो कोई मंदिर भक्तों को हुए लाभ की वजह से श्रद्धा का केंद्र बन गया। ऐसा ही सांवेर का एक मंदिर विश्वप्रसिद्ध उल्टे हनुमान के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है। पुराने बायपास के पास खान नदी के किनारे पर पाताल लोक विजयी उल्टे हनुमान की प्रतिमा को दुनिया में एकमात्र बताया जाता है। यह प्रतिमा इंदौर जिले (मध्यप्रदेश) के इंदौर-उज्जैन रोड स्थित सांवेर में है।
इस मंदिर का निर्माण देवी अहिल्याबाई होलकर की प्रेरणा से महाराजा मल्हारराव होलकर ने करीब 250 पहले करवाया था। उल्टे हनुमान नाम के पीछे एक तथ्य सर्वाधिक प्रचलित है। इसके अनुसार रामायण में उल्लेख है कि रावण के कहने पर अहिरावण श्रीराम व लक्ष्मणजी को छल-कपट से उठाकर पाताल लोक ले गया था तब हनुमानजी सांवेर के रावेर से उल्टे होकर पृथ्वी लोक से पाताल लोक गए थे। तब से इसका नाम 'उल्टे हनुमान' पड़ गया। उल्टे हनुमान की प्रतिमा के नाम से यह विश्वप्रसिद्ध है।
