जम्मू। पाकिस्तानी सेना (Pakistani army) ने रविवार सुबह एलओसी LoC) से सटे कुपवाड़ा जिले में मच्छेल सेक्टर (Machhel Sector) से आतंकियों (Terrorists) के एक बड़े दल को इस ओर धकेलने का प्रयास किया गया है। कुपवाड़ा के मच्छेल सेक्टर में पाक आतंकियों की घुसपैठ की बड़ी कोशिश को भारतीय सेना ने नाकाम तो किया पर इस कोशिश में दोनों के बीच भीषण मिनी युद्ध भी हुआ है, जिसमें सेना के एक कैप्टन रैंक के अफसर और तीन अन्य जवान शहीद हो गए। तीन घुसपैठिए मारे गए तथा बाकी भाग निकले।
सेना प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि रविवार तड़के मच्छेल सेक्टर में तैनात सीमा प्रहरियों को एलओसी की ओर से भारतीय क्षेत्र में घुसपैठ करने की कुछ हलचल दिखी। इस पर सतर्क जवानों ने तुरंत मोर्चा संभाल लिया और पाकिस्तानी सीमा से भारतीय क्षेत्र की ओर आने वाले आतंकवादियों को चेतावनी दी।
इस पर आतंकवादियों ने सुरक्षाबलों की चेतावनी को अनसुना कर उन पर फायरिंग करना शुरू कर दी। सुरक्षाबलों ने तुरंत मोर्चा संभालते हुए मुठभेड़ की फिराक में जुटे आतंकवादियों के खिलाफ फायरिंग करना शुरू कर दी। इस जवाबी कार्रवाई में तीन आतंकवादियों को ढेर कर दिया गया है।

दोनों पक्षों के बीच हुए भीषण युद्ध में सेना के एक कैप्टन (केप्टन आशुतोष कुमार, 18 मद्रास रेजिमेंट), 2 जवान तथा बीएसएफ के जवान शहीद हो गए। 4 जवान जख्मी हुए हैं उनका दशा स्थिर बताई जा रही है। इस मिनी युद्ध के दौरान पाक सेना ने भी गोले बरसाए तथा गोलियां दाग आतंकियों को कवर फायर दिया पर इसकी पुष्टि फिलहाल सेना ने नहीं की है।
आतंकवादियों के साथ मुठभेड़ में सेना के एक अधिकारी सहित चार जवान शहीद हो गए हैं। मुठभेड़ अभी भी जारी है। सुरक्षाबलों को घटनास्थल से एक एके राइफल, दो बैग और अन्य सामान बरामद हुआ है। क्षेत्र में अभी भी सुरक्षाबलों का आतंकवादियों के खिलाफ ऑपरेशन जारी है।
जानकारी के अनुसार मच्छेल सेक्टर में एलओसी पर सेना के जवानों ने सुबह तड़के हलचल देखी। जवानों ने देखा कि आतंकियों का एक दल इस तरफ आ रहा था। जिसके बाद पूरे इलाके को घेर लिया गया। जैसे ही आतंकी इस तरफ आए सेना के जवानों की तरफ से फायरिंग शुरु कर दी गई।
इस फायरिंग में एक आतंकी मारा गया। बाकी के उसके साथी मौके से भाग गए। रोशनी लगने के बाद सेना के जवानों ने आतंकी के शव को बरामद कर लिया। उसके पास से एक एके राइफल तथा दो बैग बरामद हुए।
फिर से इलाके में सर्च ऑपरेशन चलाया गया। इसमें आतंकियों के पांवों के निशान मिले हैं। आतंकियों का पूरा एक ग्रुप घुसपैठ करके इस तरफ दाखिल होने के प्रयास में था लेकिन उनकी हरकत समय रहते देख ली गई जिससे प्रयास को विफल कर दिया गया। सेना के प्रवक्ता राजेश कालिया ने दो आतंकियों के मारे जाने की पुष्टि की है।
