टांगें चौड़ी करके बनाया नपुंसक : मेरा जन्म जब हुआ, तब घरवालों ने मायाराम रखा लेकिन लड़कियों जैसी नजाकत मुझमें जन्मजात थी। कुछ हिजड़ों ने मुझे अपने दल में शामिल कर लिया और यहीं से मेरी नई जिंदगी का आगाज हुआ। हिजड़ों के समूह ने मेरे हाथ-पैर बांध दिए ताकि मैं हिल-डुल नहीं सकूं। टांगें चौड़ी करके मेरे गुप्तांग पर रोजाना गरम-गरम पानी डाला जाता था और मैं दर्द से चीखता-चिल्लाता व बिलबिलाता रहता लेकिन मेरी दर्दभरी चीखें सुनने वाला वहां कोई नहीं था।
चपटा होने के कारण बरबाद हो गया यौनांग : 15 दिनों तक लगातार गर्म पानी डाले जाने के बाद मैं नपुंसक (हिजड़ों) की श्रेणी में आ गया। हिजड़ों की भाषा में मुझे चपटा करने की यह प्रक्रिया थी। चपटा होने के कारण मेरा यौन अंग बरबाद हो गया। इस बरबादी के साथ ही मुझे नया नाम मिला और मैं मायाराम से माया बन गई। अब आखिरी सांस तक मुझे माया बनकर ही जिंदगी बितानी है और हिजड़ा बनकर लोगों को दुआएं देनी हैं। मैं जन्मजात हिजड़ा नहीं थी, मुझे हिजड़ा बनाया गया...

इंजेक्शन लगाकर काट दिया गुप्तांग : कई किन्नर ऐसे भी हैं, जो पुरुष थे और उन्हें किन्नर बना दिया गया। मायाराम को माया, संजू को संजना, मनोज को मोहिनी और हेमंत को हेमा बनाया गया। इन सभी लोगों को किन्नरों ने झोलाछाप डॉक्टर के जरिए बेहोशी के इंजेक्शन दिए गए और फिर गुप्तांग काट दिया गया। होश में आने पर इन पुरुषों को अपने लिंग नहीं मिले और वे बन गए हिजड़े।
सोनू का लिंग कटने से बच गया : 19 साल के किन्नर सोनू ने कैमरे पर कहा कि मैं भी किन्नरों की टोली में फंस गया था। वो लोग मुझे मारते-पीटते और मुझसे धंधा करवाते थे। एक बार वे लोग मेरा लिंग कटवाने के लिए डॉक्टर के पास ले गए। डॉक्टर के इंजेक्शन से मैं बेहोश हो पाता उससे पहले मैं वहां से भाग खड़ा हुआ और मेरी जान बच गई।
हिजड़ों का स्टिंग ऑपरेशन : पिछले दिनों खबरिया चैनल 'एबीपी' न्यूज ने माया की दर्दनाक कहानी को नेशनल टीवी पर साझा किया था। चैनल ने एक और अच्छा काम हिजड़ों का स्टिंग ऑपरेशन करने का भी किया जिसमें कई चौंकाने वाले तथ्य सामने आए। जो लोग रेलयात्रा करते हैं और सुबह-सुबह उनकी ट्रेन गंतव्य स्थल पर पहुंचती है, उससे पहले ही ट्रेन में हिजड़ों की टोलियां सवार हो जाती हैं। ये टोलियां अभद्र भाषा का प्रयोग करते हुए लोगों से पैसे वसूलती हैं।
पोल खुली तो वे बैकफुट पर आए : जब कैमरे के सामने हिजड़ों की पोल खुली तो वे बैकफुट पर आ गए और कइयों ने तो लोगों से लिए पैसे भी वापस किए। ट्रेनों का यह किस्सा अकेले राजधानी आने वाली ट्रेनों का ही नहीं है बल्कि अधिकांश शहर यात्रियों के साथ इस तरह की जबरिया वसूली होती है। असल में इस टोली में ज्यादातर लोग हिजड़े की शक्ल में बहुरूपिए थे जिनका उन लोगों से कोई लेना-देना नहीं था, जो जन्मजात किन्नर पैदा होते हैं।
