1.लेह (जम्मू और कश्मीर) : भारतीय राज्य जम्मू और कश्मीर में स्थित लद्दाख लामाओं और हिन्दु साधुओं की भूमि है। लद्दाख में एक क्षेत्र है जिसे लेह कहा जाता है। प्रकृति की सबसे सुंदर छटा यहां देखी जा सकती है। ट्रैकिंग और रोमांच भरी साहसी यात्रा के शौकिन लोगों के अलावा प्रकृति के प्रति लगाव रखने वाले लोगों के लिए लेह सबसे खूबसूरत जगह है।

जो लोग रोमांचक यात्राओं में यकीन रखते हैं और प्रकृति के सौंदर्य का आनंद उठाना चाहते हैं वे ज्यादातर पर्यटक की तरह श्रीनगर, चंडीगढ़ या दिल्ली से हवाई यात्रा कर सीधे लेह नहीं जाते हैं। सड़क मार्ग से जाना बहुत ही रोमांचकारी अनुभव रहेगा। मनाली से रोहतांग पास होते हुए केलोंग पहला महत्वपूर्ण पड़ाव आता है जहां चारों तरफ पहाडि़यां नजर आती हैं। लेह जाने के लिए सड़क मार्ग से दो रास्ते हैं- एक मनाली से और दूसरा श्रीनगर से। मनाली से लेह तक किसी व्यूह जैसे पांच दर्रे हैं जिसमें एक दर्रे को दुनिया का सबसे ऊंचा दर्रा होने का गौरव प्राप्त है।

यहां ऊंचे-ऊंचे खूबसूरत पहाड़ों, वृक्षों, झरनों और अति सुंदर नदी को देखने के अलावा विजय महल और स्तूप हैं। यहां की शांति और सुंदरता का मुकाबला दुनिया की किसी भी जगह से नहीं किया जा सकता। लेह के आसपास कई मठ हैं। मठ यहां बहुत हैं और हरेक मठ की अलग खूबी है।

लेह से सटे उत्तर दिशा में शंकर मठ है। इसमें बौद्ध धर्म के उन इष्ट अवलोकितेश्वर पद्माहरि की आकृतियां हैं जिनके हजार सिर दर्शाए गए हैं। लेह से बीस किमी दूर हेमिस मठ जाने के लिए रास्ते में थिकसे मठ पड़ता है। पहाड़ की चोटी पर बने 12 मंजिला इस मठ से लेह घाटी के दृश्य बेहद सुंदर दिखते हैं।

2 -श्रीनगर (जम्मू और कश्मीर): भारतीय राज्य जम्मू और कश्मीर में स्थित श्रीनगर का नाम सुनते ही डल झील, खूबसूरत ऊंचे-ऊंचे वृक्ष और बर्फ से लदे पहाड़ों का दृश्य हमारी आंखों के सामने से गुजर जाता है। सचमुच श्रीनगर को देखना जन्नत को देखने समान है।

हालांकि यह शहर हाउसबोट, हिस्टॉरिक गार्डेन और घाटियों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। यहां डल झील और झेलम नदी के किनारे स्थित घाटियां बहुत ही सुंदर और स्वर्ग के समान हैं।

यहां और भी बहुत कुछ देखने लायक है जैसे इंदिरा गांधी ट्यूलिप गार्डेन, शंकराचार्य पहाड़ी, सिंथन चोटी, नागिन झील, बेताब घाटी और सोनमर्ग। श्रीनगर से कुछ दूर एक बहुत पुराना मार्तण्ड (सूर्य) मंदिर है। कुछ और दूर अनन्तनाग जिले में शिव को समर्पित अमरनाथ की गुफा है। श्रीनगर से तीस किलोमीटर दूर मुस्लिम सूफी संत शेख नूरुद्दिन वली की दरगाह चरार-ए-शरीफ है। हजरतबल मस्जिद श्रीनगर में स्थित प्रसिद्ध डल झील के किनारे स्थित है। श्रीनगर जिले के तुल्लामुला में स्थित खीर भवानी मंदिर यहां के प्रमुख धार्मिक स्थलों में से एक है।'

3.शिमला और मनाली हिमांचल प्रदेश : भारत के अधिकतर पर्यटक हिमाचल घुमने जाते हैं। हिमाचल में शिमला और मनाली हनीमून के लिए सबसे प्रसिद्ध स्थल है। यहां घाटी और चारों ओर हिमालय पर्वत की चोटियों का सुंदर दृश्‍य दिखाई देता है। जरूरी नहीं की आप हनीमून के लिए ही जाएं।

शिमला : मन को सुकून देने वाली हरियाली से घिरे शिमला को सात पहाड़ियों का शहर भी कहा जाता है। गर्मी में भी यहां का अधिकतम तापमान 25 डिग्री के आस-पास रहता है। बर्फ पर स्कीइंग करने वालों के लिए जनवरी से मार्च के मध्य का समय सबसे अच्छा है। फिशिंग व गोल्फ के साथ ही आप यहां आकर ट्रैकिंग का मजा भी ले सकते हैं। शिमला-किन्नौर क्षेत्र में नरकंडा से बंजर और सराहन से सांगला यहां के मशहूर ट्रैक रूट हैं। दोनों ही रूट लगभग सवा तीन किलोमीटर की दूरी के हैं।

शिमला की दूरी दिल्ली से बहुत ज्यादा नहीं है। मात्र 345 किलोमीटर दूर है दिल्ली। सड़क मार्ग से कार द्वारा आसानी से पहुंचा जा सकता है। दिल्ली से शिमला के लिए हवाई यात्रा की भी सुविधा है। रेल मार्ग से जाना चाहें तो नैरोगेज लाइन कालका से शिमला तक जाती है।

मनाली : शिमला से मनाली लगभग 275 किलोमीटर दूर है। चारों ओर से पहाड़ों से घिरे मनाली को देखकर रोमांच और रोमांस का अनुभव होता है। एडवेंचरस के शौकिन लोगों के लिए यह बेहतरीन स्पॉट है। यहां आने वाले पर्टकट कस्बे में स्थित गांव में ठहरते हैं और यहां ट्रैकिंग, स्कीइंग और राफ्टिंग का मजा लेते हैं। मनाली से करीब 53 कि.मी. दूर स्थित प्रसिद्ध रोहतांग पास में पर्यटकों को ग्लेशियर, चोटियां और घाटियों के एडवेंचरस और सांसें रोक देने वाले दृश्य दिखाई देते हैं।

मनाली में व्यास नदी, जोगिनी झरना, हडिंबा देवी मंदिर, मनीकरण गुरुद्वारा, सोलांग घाटी, व्यास कुंड, रोहतांग पास और हिमवैली मनाली देखने लायक जगहें हैं।

4.नैनीताल- उत्तराखंड: नैनीताल इसलिए कहा जाता है क्योंकि यहां नैना देवी का एक मंदिर और प्रसिद्ध ताल है। नैनी शब्द का अर्थ है आंखें और 'ताल' का अर्थ है झील। बर्फ से ढ़के पहाड़ों के बीच झीलों से घिरा नैनीताल उत्तराखंड राज्य का प्रसिद्ध हनीमून स्पॉट है।

यहां आकर आपको शांत और प्रकृति के पास होने जैसा महसूस होगा। नैनीताल झील, नैनादेवी मंदिर, नैना चोटी, गर्वनर हाउस, टिफिन टॉप और पंडित जीबी पंत प्राणी उद्यान यहां के प्रसिद्द स्थल है। शॉपिंग के लिए आप मार्केट मॉलरोड जा सकते हैं।

यहां कि प्रसिद्ध झील नैना झील है जिसे ताल भी कहा जाता है। ताल में बत्तखों के झुंड, रंग-बिरंगी नावें और ऊपर से बहती ठंडी हवा यहां एक अदभुत नजारा पेश करते हैं। ताल का पानी गर्मियों में हरा, बरसात में मटमैला और सर्दियों में हल्का नीला दिखाई देता है।

एनएच 87 रोड़ नैनीताल को पूरे देश से जोड़ता है। नैनीताल में रेल और हवाई सेवाएं नहीं हैं, लेकिन यहां का नजदीकी रेलवे स्टेशन यहां से सिर्फ 34 किमी दूर काठगोदाम में है। काठगोदाम से नैनीताल के लिए राज्य परिवहन की गाड़ियां दिन में हर समय उपलब्ध रहती हैं। यहां से आप टैक्सी कर सकते हैं। यह स्थान दिल्ली से 320 किमी और अल्मोड़ा 68 किमी दूर है।

5.शिलॉन्ग, मेघालय : मेघालय का अर्थ है बादलों का घर। यहां आकर जीवन की हर चिंता समाप्त हो जाती है। मेघालय की राजधानी शिलॉन्‍ग भारत का सबसे खूबसूरत हिल स्टेशन है। इसे पूर्व का स्कॉटलैंड कहा जाता है। शिलॉन्ग में पूरी दुनिया का सबसे ऊंचा वॉटरफॉल है जिसे देखने दनियाभर से लोग आते हैं। खूबसूरत खासी पहाड़ियों के बीच बसा यह स्थान भारत के प्रसिद्ध ब्लूस मैन, लाउ मैजॉ (सिंगर और गिटारिस्ट) का घर भी है।

शिलॉन्‍ग में अनेक दर्शनीय स्‍थल है जैसे एलीफेंटा फॉल, शिलॉन्‍ग व्‍यू पॉइंट, लेडी हैदरी पार्क, वार्ड्स लेक, गोल्‍फ फोर्स, संग्रहालय, कैथोलिक, केथेड्रल, आर्चरी और एंगलीकेन सिमेंटरी चर्च।चेरापूंजी का स्‍थानीय और आधिकारिक नाम सोहरा है जो शिलॉन्‍ग से 56 किलो मीटर की दूरी पर है। यह खासी पहाड़ी के दक्षिणी किनारें पर स्थित एक छोटा सा कस्‍बा है। चेरापूंजी 12 महीने ही घनी बारिश के कारण विश्व प्रसिद्ध पर्यटन स्थल है। चेरापूंजी के कुछ महत्‍वपूर्ण पर्यटन स्‍थल हैं माकडॉक-डिमपेप घाटी का दृश्‍य जो शिलॉन्‍ग और चेरापूंजी के बीच स्थित है, सोहरा बाजार और रामकृष्‍ण का मंदिर, संग्रहालय, नोखालीकाई जल प्रापत, प्रथम प्री साइबेरियन चर्च, वेल्‍श मिशनरियों की दरगाहें, एंगलिकन सिमेंटरी, इको पार्क डबल डेकर रुट ब्रीज, चेरापूंजी मौसम विज्ञान वेधशाला।

शिलॉग्न से 35 किलोमीटर दूर अमरोही में हवाई अड्डा है। दिल्ली से 1490 किलोमीटर दूर है शिलॉन्ग।
