बागली। नेमप्लेट पर सरदार तीरथ सिंह रीन लेफ्टीनेंट, टैंक कमांडर, स्वतंत्रता सग्राम सेनानी, फौजी भवन जवाहर मार्ग बागली लिखा है, जो बागली में पापाजी के रूप में पहचाने जाते थे। स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में उनके योगदान पर अब पुस्तक प्रकाशित होगी, जिसे
स्वतंत्रता संग्राम की लड़ाई में नेता सुभाष चन्द्र बोस के ड्राइवर के रूप में 15 दिन हों या देश की आजादी के लिए तैयार हो रही आजाद हिंद का हिस्सा, मगर देश की आजादी की लड़ाई में सर्वस्व न्योछावर करने वाले तीरथ सिंह ने आजाद भारत में गुमनामी का जीवन ही व्यतीत किया।
सादगीपसंद और स्वाभिमानी तीरथ सिंह ने कभी भी किसी के हाथ नहीं फैलाया, न कीमत मांगी। विपरीत परिस्थितियों में अपने संघर्ष, पारिवारिक जिम्मेदारियों का निर्वहन करने के लिए ट्रक ड्रायवरी की। 1973 में आजादी के 25 वर्ष पूर्ण होने पर उत्सव मनाया, जिसमें बागली के हायर सेकेंडरी स्कूल में एक स्मारक में तीरथ सिंह के नाम का उल्लेख किया गया। बड़ी परेशानी और संघर्ष के बाद पेंशन 1985 में प्रारंभ हुई। 12 अगस्त 1992 को बागली में उनकी मृत्यु हो गई।
स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में भाग लेने के बावजूद जो सम्मान तीरथ सिंह को मिलना चाहिए था जैसे गार्ड ऑफ ऑनर आदि नहीं मिल पाया। अपना सर्वस्व न्योछावर करने वाले तीरथ जी को राष्ट्रीय सम्मान तो ठीक, एक सड़क भी उनके नाम से नगर में नहीं है।
कश्मीर में हुआ था जन्म : तीरथ सिंह पिता हीरासिंह रीन का जन्म 1917 कश्मीर के हजारा जिले के हवेलिया के जावा नामक गांव में हुआ था। 20 वर्ष की उम्र में 8 मार्च 1937 फ़ौज में भर्ती हो गए। जावा से हवेलिया, रावलपिंडी, चकलाला, पंजाब, बेलगाम, बेंगलोर (अब बेंगलुरु) में इनकी ट्रेनिंग हुई, जिसके बाद सूडान, लीबिया आदि देशों का लगातार सफर किया।
जापान में तीरथ सिंह जी की मुलाकात सुभाष चन्द्र बोस से हुई। नेताजी तीरथ सिंह जी से काफी प्रभावित हुए। उन्होंने सिंह को अपने निजी ड्रायवर के तौर पर साथ में रख लिया। 15 दिन तक गाड़ी चलाने के बाद जब अंग्रेज सरकार ने नेताजी को नजरबंद किया तो फिर तीरथ सिंह जी आजाद हिंद फौज का हिस्सा बन गए और बेल्जियम से लौटते वक्त मुंबई में उन्हें गिरफ्तार कर लालकिले में कैद कर दिया गया।
7 मार्च 1946 को जेल रिहा हुए तीरथ सिंह की मुश्किलें कम नहीं हुईं। पुश्तैनी गांव बंटवारे की आग से जल रहा था। परिवार के लोग जावा से रातोंरात भागकर अनजाने ठिकाने पर पहुंच गए थे। तीरथ सिंह के बड़े भाई प्रतापसिंह मध्यप्रदेश के देवास जिले के बागली में लकड़ी की ठेकेदारी करने लगे। तीरथ सिंह भी बागली में आ बसे ओर यहीं हरपाल कौर से विवाह किया।

रामबाग सेवा केन्द्र करेगा पुस्तक प्रकाशित : सोशल मीडिया पर समाचार वायरल होने के बाद अब नगर का रामबाग किसान सेवा केन्द्र रीन के स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में योगदान पर केन्द्रित पुस्तक को प्रकाशित करने के लिए आगे आया है। केन्द्र संचालक पूर्व नप उपाध्यक्ष लक्ष्मी ग्रेवाल व हरजीतसिंह ग्रेवाल ने बताया कि रीन का जीवन प्रेरणास्पद है। उस दौर में नेताजी बोस से मिलना और उनके साथ रहना अविस्मरणीय संस्मरण है। युवाओं को यह जानकारी होनी चाहिए कि कितने प्रयासों व संघर्षों के बाद स्वाधीनता प्राप्त हुई है।
ग्रेवाल के पिता स्व. प्रतापसिंह ग्रेवाल पंजाब प्रांत के निवासी थे। उनके ताऊजी करतारसिंह सराबा भारत को अंग्रेजों से आजादी दिलवाने के लिए गठित गदर पार्टी के अध्यक्ष थे। नवबंर 1915 में उन्हें अंग्रेजों ने फांसी की सजा दी थी। शहीदे आजम भगतसिंह सराबा को अपना गुरु मानते थे।
रीन के नाम पर सड़क की मांग : अभिव्यक्ति मंच के वारिस अली, कासम अली, राकेश नागौरी, राहुल गुप्ता एवं अधिवक्ता गगन शिवहरे ने बताया कि रीन का निवास फौजी भवन जर्जर हालत में है। जिस तिलक मार्ग पर यह भवन है उस मार्ग का नाम परिवर्तित कर रीन के नाम से किया जाए। साथ ही मकान को संरक्षित करके रीन का स्मारक बनाया जाए।
पीएमओ तक जानकारी पहुंचाई जाएगी : सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता कुं. जयदीपसिंह उदावत ने बताया कि क्षेत्रीय सांसद के माध्यम से रीन की समस्त जानकारियां पीएमओ कार्यालय तक पहुंचाई जाएंगी। साथ ही व्यक्तिगत रूप से भी प्रयास करूंगा कि रीन परिवार को शास्कीय स्तर पर सम्मानित किया जाए।
