धवन का शतक, भारत ने लगातार आठवीं श्रृंखला जीती

विशाखापट्टनम। पहले कुलदीप यादव और युजवेंद्र चहल ने अपनी बलखाती गेंदों का कमाल दिखाया जबकि बाद में शिखर धवन ने नाबाद शतकीय पारी खेली, जिससे भारत ने तीसरे और निर्णायक एकदिवसीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट मैच में आज यहां श्रीलंका को आसानी से आठ विकेट से हराकर श्रृंखला 2-1 से अपने नाम की।

भारत के सामने बल्लेबाजी के लिए अनुकूल पिच पर जीत के लिए बड़ा लक्ष्य नहीं था। उसने 32.1 ओवर में दो विकेट पर 219 रन बनाकर मैच को एकतरफा बना दिया। धवन 85 गेंदों पर 100 रन बनाकर नाबाद रहे और इस बीच वनडे में 4000 रन पूरे किए।

उन्होंने अय्यर के साथ दूसरे विकेट के लिए 135 रन जोड़े। दिनेश कार्तिक 26 रन बनाकर नाबाद रहे। पहले बल्लेबाजी का न्यौता पाने वाले श्रीलंका की तरफ से सलामी बल्लेबाज उपुल थरंगा ने 82 गेंदों पर 95 रन बनाए, जिसमें उन्होंने 12 चौके और तीन छक्के जड़े।

उन्होंने सदीरा समरविक्रम (42) के साथ दूसरे विकेट के लिए 121 रन जोड़े, लेकिन यह साझेदारी टूटते ही श्रीलंका की पारी ताश के पत्तों की तरह बिखर गई।आखिरी आठ विकेट 55 रन के अंदर गंवाने के कारण श्रीलंकाई टीम 44.5 ओवर में 215 रन पर ढेर हो गई।

भारत ने इस तरह से लगातार आठवीं बार वनडे द्विपक्षीय श्रृंखला जीती और श्रीलंका के खिलाफ घरेलू सरजमीं पर कोई सीरीज नहीं गंवाने का अभियान जारी रखा। धर्मशाला में पहला वनडे जीतने वाले श्रीलंका के पास भारत में पहली बार श्रृंखला जीतने का बेहतरीन मौका था लेकिन फिर से उसके बल्लेबाजों ने उसे निराश किया।

श्रीलंका 1997 के बाद से भारत के खिलाफ द्विपक्षीय श्रृंखला नहीं जीत पाया है। भारत ने इससे पहले श्रीलंका से टेस्ट श्रृंखला 1-0 से जीती थी। अब इन दोनों टीमों के बीच टी20 श्रृंखला खेली जाएगी, जिसका पहला मैच 20 दिसंबर को कटक में खेला जाएगा।

अय्यर ने हालांकि इसके बाद भी नैसर्गिक अंदाज में शाट जमाए और जोखिम लेकर गेंदबाजों पर दबाव बनाने के अपने कौशल का नमूना पेश किया। नुवान प्रदीप पर थर्डमैन पर चौका और पातिराना पर लांग ऑन पर छक्का इसका सबूत है। उन्होंने 44 गेंदों में अपना दूसरा वनडे अर्धशतक पूरा किया।

धवन ने अपना पचासा पूरा करने के लिए 46 गेंदें खेली। वह धनंजय पर छक्का लगाकर इस मुकाम पर पहुंचे। अय्यर ने इसके बाद अपना विकेट एकतरह से इनाम में दिया। उनसे जब धैर्य के साथ पारी आगे बढ़ाकर शतक तक पहुंचने की उम्मीद की जा रही थी तब उन्होंने तिसारा परेरा की गेंद पर मिडऑन पर कैच का अभ्यास कराया।

अय्यर ने 63 गेंद की अपनी पारी में आठ चौके और एक छक्का लगाया। धवन ने इसके बाद भी एक छोर संभाले रखा। लक्ष्य हासिल करने के लिए रन कम बचे थे और ऐसे में धवन ने शतक के करीब पहुंचने पर तेजी दिखाई। उन्होंने गुणतिलक पर छक्का जमाया और गुणरत्ने पर दो चौके लगाए। इनमें से दूसरे चौके से उन्होंने अपना 12वां शतक पूरा किया। उन्होंने अपनी पारी में 13 चौके और दो छक्के लगाए। 

इससे पहले कुलदीप और चहल ने बीच के ओवरों में अपने कौशल और कलाइयों का बेजोड़ नमूना पेश करके एक बार फिर से अनुभवी रविचंद्रन अश्विन और रविंद्र जडेजा पर तवज्जों देने के चयनकर्ताओं को फैसले को सही साबित किया।

जिस तरह से थरंगा ने सकारात्मक रवैए के साथ बल्लेबाजी की और समरविक्रम ने उसी अंदाज में उनका साथ दिया उससे लग रहा था कि श्रीलंका आसानी से 300 रन के स्कोर तक पहुंच जाएगा। लेकिन एक बार इनकी साझेदारी टूटने के बाद कुलदीप और चहल हावी हो गए और मैच का रूख एकदम से पलट गया।

एसीए वीडीसीए क्रिकेट स्टेडियम की पिच बल्लेबाजी के लिए अनुकूल दिख रही थी लेकिन रोहित ने टॉस जीतकर श्रीलंका को बल्लेबाजी के लिए आमंत्रित किया। बुमराह ने दानुष्का गुणतिलक (13) को जल्दी पवेलियन भेज दिया लेकिन थरंगा इससे दबाव में नहीं आए और उन्होंने खुलकर शॉट खेले।

पंड्या के सामने तीन अवसरों पर अपना विकेट गंवाने वाले बाएं हाथ के इस बल्लेबाज इस भारतीय आलराउंडर के एक ओवर में लगातार पांच चौके लगाकर उनकी मनोवैज्ञानिक बढ़त को खत्म करने में सफलता हासिल की।

थरंगा ने केवल 36 गेंदों पर वनडे में अपना 36वां अर्धशतक पूरा किया। इसके बाद हालांकि स्पिनरों के सामने वह कुछ धीमे पड़ गए। कुलदीप ने विशेषकर उन्हें परेशान भी किया लेकिन चहल के सामने वह अधिक सहज दिखे, जिन पर उन्होंने तीन दर्शनीय छक्के भी लगाए।

चहल ने इस बीच समरविक्रम को डीप कवर पर शिखर धवन के हाथों कैच कराकर यह साझेदारी जोड़ी। ऐसे मौके पर रोहित ने फिर से कुलदीप को दूसरे स्पैल के लिए बुलाया और उन्होंने अपनी पहली गेंद पर ही थरंगा को आउट करके उन्हें शतक बनाने से रोक दिया।

विकेटकीपर महेंद्र सिंह धोनी ने हमेशा की तरह अपनी चपलता दिखाकर उन्हें स्टंप आउट किया। थरंगा ने अपनी पारी के दौरान 2017 में वनडे में 1000 रन भी पूरे किए। कुलदीप ने इसी ओवर में फार्म में चल रहे एक अन्य बल्लेबाज निरोशन डिकवेला (8) को आउट करके श्रीलंकाई खेमे में खलबली मचा दी।
