सौभाग्यवती नारियों का सुंदर सुहाग पर्व करवा चौथ इस साल 4 नवंबर 2020 को है।
इस दिन महिलाएं निर्जला व्रत रखती हैं और रात में चांद देखने के बाद अपना व्रत खोलती हैं।
इस दिन अगर सुहागिन स्त्रियां उपवास रखें तो उनके पति की उम्र लंबी होती है और उनका गृहस्थ जीवन सुखी रहता है।
ये व्रत सूर्योदय से पहले शुरू होता है जिसे चांद निकलने तक रखा जाता है।
इस व्रत में सास अपनी बहू को सरगी देती है। इस सरगी को लेकर बहुएं अपने व्रत की शुरुआत करती हैं।
इस व्रत में शाम के समय शुभ मुहूर्त में चांद निकलने से पहले पूरे शिव परिवार की पूजा की जाती है।
चांद निकलने के बाद महिलाएं चंद्रमा को अर्घ्य देती हैं और अपने पति के हाथ से पानी पीकर व्रत को संपन्न करती हैं।
हिंदू पंचांग के अनुसार कार्तिक मास के कृष्ण पक्ष में चतुर्थी तिथि के दिन करवा चौथ मनाया जाता है। करवा चौथ का व्रत सुहागन स्त्रियों के लिए बहुत खास होता है।
कार्तिक मास के कृष्ण पक्ष की चतुर्थी तिथि को आने वाली संकष्टी चतुर्थी व्रत को ही करवा चौथ का व्रत है, इस साल कोरोना काल में करवा चौथ 4 नवंबर 2020 दिन बुधवार को मनाया जा रहा है। पति की दीर्घायु, यश-कीर्ति और सौभाग्य में वृद्धि के लिए इस व्रत को विशेष फलदायी माना गया है।

करवा चौथ व्रत की पूजा विधि
-सुबह सूर्योदय से पहले उठ जाएं। सरगी के रूप में मिला हुआ भोजन करें पानी पीएं और भगवान की
पूजा करके निर्जला व्रत का संकल्प लें।
-करवा चौथ में महिलाएं पूरे दिन जल-अन्न कुछ ग्रहण नहीं करतीं फिर शाम के समय चांद को देखने के बाद दर्शन कर व्रत खोलती हैं।
-पूजा के लिए शाम के समय एक मिट्टी की वेदी पर सभी देवताओं की स्थापना कर इसमें करवे रखें।
-एक थाली में धूप, दीप, चंदन, रोली, सिन्दूर रखें और घी का दीपक जलाएं।
-पूजा चांद निकलने के एक घंटे पहले शुरू कर देनी चाहिए। इस दिन महिलाएं एक साथ मिलकर पूजा करती हैं।
-पूजन के समय करवा चौथ कथा जरूर सुनें या सुनाएं।
-चांद को छलनी से देखने के बाद अर्घ्य देकर चंद्रमा की पूजा करनी चाहिए।
-चांद को देखने के बाद पति के हाथ से जल पीकर व्रत खोलना चाहिए।
-इस दिन बहुएं अपनी सास को थाली में मिठाई, फल, मेवे, रुपए आदि देकर उनसे सौभाग्यवती होने का आशीर्वाद लेती हैं।
