केरिपुब के 40 जवान शहीद हो गए थे : पुलवामा में हुए घातक आतंकी हमले की 6ठी वर्षगांठ पर, जिसमें केरिपुब के 40 जवान शहीद हो गए थे, केरिपुब के शीर्ष अधिकारियों ने आतंकवाद विरोधी उपायों में महत्वपूर्ण सुधारों पर प्रकाश डाला और भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाओं को रोकने के उद्देश्य से मानक संचालन प्रक्रियाओं (एसओपी), उपकरणों और प्रशिक्षण में प्रगति पर जोर दिया।ALSO READ: पुंछ में LoC पर बैट का हमला नाकाम, 4 पाकिस्तानी कमांडो समेत 10 आतंकी मारे गए
केरिपुब के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने बताया कि राजमार्गों पर काफिलों की सुरक्षा बढ़ाने के लिए पर्याप्त बदलाव किए गए हैं और अब बल आतंकवादी खतरों का प्रभावी ढंग से जवाब देने के लिए बेहतर तरीके से तैयार हैं। अधिकारी ने कहा कि पिछले 5 वर्षों में केरिपुब में काफी बदलाव हुए हैं। हमारे पास मौजूद उपकरणों में काफी सुधार हुआ है और हमारी तैयारियां यह सुनिश्चित करती हैं कि आतंकवादियों को कड़ी प्रतिक्रिया का सामना करना पड़े। अधिकारियों ने कहा कि राजमार्गों के किनारे प्रमुख स्थानों पर सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाने से सुरक्षा उपायों को मजबूत किया गया है।ALSO READ: आतंकवाद के खिलाफ अपनी लड़ाई तेज करें, गृहमंत्री शाह ने सुरक्षा एजेंसियों को दिए निर्देश
अब ड्रोन निगरानी के जरिए नजर रखी जाती है : वे कहते थे कि सेना के काफिले की गतिविधियों पर अब ड्रोन निगरानी के जरिए नजर रखी जाती है और सुरक्षा बढ़ाने के लिए कर्मियों को बुलेटप्रूफ बंकरों में ले जाया जा रहा है। यही नहीं, आधुनिक सुरक्षा प्रथाओं के अनुरूप रोड ओपनिंग पार्टियों (आरओपी) को विशेष प्रशिक्षण दिया जा रहा है और संभावित हमलों को रोकने के लिए नए एसओपी बनाए गए हैं।
केरिपुब अधिकारी के बकौल, आधुनिक सुरक्षा प्रथाओं के अनुरूप आरओपी को विशेष प्रशिक्षण दिया जा रहा है और भविष्य में ऐसे हमलों को रोकने के लिए नए एसओपी बनाए गए हैं। इन प्रगति के अनुरूप 14 फरवरी 2019 को 78 वाहनों के साथ बड़े काफिले में जाने के बजाय यह निर्णय लिया गया कि कार्मिक अधिकतम 40 वाहनों के साथ छोटे दलों में जाएंगे।ALSO READ: Jammu and Kashmir : पुंछ में LoC पर घुसपैठ का प्रयास नाकाम, 2 आतंकी मारे गए
अधिकारी कहते थे कि राजमार्गों पर यातायात की आवाजाही अब सख्ती से नियंत्रित है और सुरक्षा पर कोई समझौता नहीं किया गया है। अप्रिय घटनाओं को रोकने के लिए एहतियाती उपाय बढ़ाए गए हैं। कश्मीर में समग्र सुरक्षा स्थिति के बारे में वे दावा करते थे कि पिछले 5 वर्षों में घाटी में महत्वपूर्ण सुधार हुआ है।
आतंकवादी नेटवर्क को काफी हद तक कमजोर करने में सक्षम हुए : उनका कहना था कि कानून और व्यवस्था की घटनाओं को सुरक्षा बलों द्वारा प्रभावी रूप से नियंत्रित किया गया है, जो एक सकारात्मक बदलाव है। उन्होंने आतंकवादी समूहों के खिलाफ सफल आतंकवाद विरोधी अभियानों पर भी प्रकाश डाला। वे कहते थे कि हम हाल के वर्षों में जैश-ए-मोहम्मद, लश्कर-ए-तैयबा और हिजबुल मुजाहिदीन आतंकी समूहों के शीर्ष नेतृत्व को खत्म करके आतंकवादी नेटवर्क को काफी हद तक कमजोर करने में सक्षम रहे हैं।
केरिपुब अधिकारी कहते थे कि हालांकि आतंकवादी अपने प्रयास जारी रखते हैं, लेकिन उनके शीर्ष कमांडरों के निष्प्रभावी होने से भर्ती प्रयासों में काफी कमी आई है। इस बीच केरिपुब का दावा था कि पुलवामा हमले के बाद कश्मीर में इम्प्रोवाइज्ड एक्सप्लोसिव डिवाइस (आईईडी) विस्फोटों में कमी देखी गई है। इन 6 वर्षों में उन्होंने 26 आईईडी का पता लगाया है जिन्हें राजमार्गों (सड़कों), वाहनों, स्कूलों और पुलों जैसे सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर रखा गया था।
