सेंबलुन। इंडोनेशिया लोम्बोक द्वीप में रविवार को आए विनाशकारी भूकंप में अब तक 14 की मौत हो गई और 162 लोग घायल हो गए हैं। जब भूकंप आया, उस दौरान अधिकतर लोग सो रहे थे। सेंबलुन के प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में बिजली की कटौती कर दी गई है। अमेरिकी भूगर्भीय सर्वेक्षण विभाग (यूएसजीएस) के मुताबिक रिक्टर पैमाने पर भूकंप की तीव्रता 6.4 मापी गई। भूकंप के कारण यहां की कई इमारतें भी क्षतिग्रस्त हो गईं।
स्थानीय अस्पताल क्षतिग्रस्त होने की वजह से सेंबलुन में घायलों के इलाज के लिए आपातकालीन टेंट लगाए गयें हैं और जो लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल हैं, उनका इलाज अन्य जगहों के अस्पताल में ले जा गया है।
एसजीएस ने बताया कि पर्यटकों के बीच लोकप्रिय इंडोनेशिया के लोम्बोक द्वीप में रविवार को स्थानीय समयानुसार सुबह 6 बजकर 47 मिनट पर भूकंप के तेज झटके महसूस किए गए। इसके बाद एक घंटे के भीतर ही 5.4 तीव्रता के सामान्य झटके भी महसूस किए गए।

लोम्बोक द्वीप के सेंगगिगी के नजदीक पुनाक होटल में रह रहे एक व्यक्ति ने बताया, 'भूकंप के झटके इतने तेज थे कि अचानक हमारी नींद खुल गई और हम अपने बिस्तर से कूद पड़े। होटल के स्वीमिंग पूल में 20 से 30 सेकंड तक पानी की ऊंची-ऊंची लहरें उठते हुए देख हम हैरान रह गए।
इंडोनेशिया की आपदा एवं राहत एजेंसी के प्रवक्ता स्तोपो पूर्वो नुगरोहो ने बताया कि भूकंप के कारण कई इमारतों को भी नुकसान पहुंचा है। नुगरोहो ने टि्वटर पर क्षतिग्रस्त घरों की तस्वीरें भी पोस्ट की।

नुगरोहो ने कहा कि भूकंप के कारण लोकप्रिय ट्रैकिंग स्थल माउंट रिनजानी में भी नुकसान होने की आशंका है। भूकंप का केन्द्र लोम्बोक द्वीप के प्रमुख शहर मताराम से 49.5 किलोमीटर दूर पूर्वोत्तर में रहा।
यूरोपीय-भूमध्यसागरीय भूकंपीय केंद्र के मुताबिक भूकंप की तीव्रता 6.5 रही। भूकंप के कारण सुनामी संबंधी कोई चेतावनी जारी नहीं की गई है। गौरतलब है कि रिक्टर पैमाने पर मापा गया 6.4 तीव्रता का भूकंप काफी तेज माना जाता है और यह गंभीर क्षति पहुंचाने में सक्षम है।
