- छोटे निवेशकों को SIP के माध्यम से Mutual Funds में लांग टर्म के लिए निवेश करना चाहिए। अगर आप 10 साल के लिए बाजार में निवेश कर रहे हैं तो आप पर मंदी का बहुत ज्यादा असर नहीं पड़ेगा और अगर आपको घाटा होता भी है तो वह सीमित रहेगा।
- अगर बाजार गिर रहा है तो आपके फंड की वेल्यू कम होगी और बाजार बढ़ने पर आपके घाटे की पूर्ति हो जाएगी। क्योंकि SIP के माध्यम से निवेश करने पर आप मंदी के दौर में भी निवेश करेंगे।
- यदि आप बाजार में 20 हजार रुपए निवेश करना चाहते हैं तो उसे एक साथ न डालकर 500 रुपए की SIP के रूप में म्यूचुअल फंड में निवेश करें। इससे आपका पैसा अलग अलग दिन बाजार में जाएगा और अलग अलग NAV आपके निवेश को हर स्थिति में बैलेंस करने में मददगार होगी।
- भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था इतनी मजबूत है कि कोई भी मंदी उसे ज्यादा समय तक प्रभावित नहीं कर सकती है। अत: संयम रखें और बाजार में गिरावट आ रही है तो किसी भी तरह की हड़बड़ी ना दिखाए।

- बाजार की तेजी-मंदी लांग टर्म के लिए निवेश करने वालों को शार्ट टर्म निवेशकों की अपेक्षा कम ही प्रभावित करती है।
- म्यूचुअल फंड में निवेश बाजार जोखिमों के अधीन है। अत: आपको यहां निवेश करते समय ही घाटे के लिए भी तैयार रहना चाहिए। हालांकि इसमें रिस्क भी शेयर बाजार की अपेक्षा बहुत कम है।
