Corona virus : हॉटस्पॉट बनती जा रही है एशिया की सबसे बड़ी झुग्गी बस्ती धारावी, 45 दिनों में सामने आए 1000 से ज्यादा मामले

मुंबई। मुंबई के धारावी में कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण भले ही देर से पहुंचा हो, लेकिन 45 दिनों से भी कम समय में कोविड-19 के 1,000 से अधिक मामले सामने आ चुके हैं और इस महामारी से 40 लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है। एशिया की इस सबसे बड़ी झुग्गी बस्ती में कोविड-19 से जुड़े ये आंकड़े यहां इस महामारी के फैलने की रफ्तार की ओर इशारा करते हैं। बुधवार को संक्रमण के 66 नए मामले सामने के साथ धारावी में कुल मामले बढ़कर 1,028 हो गए।

धारावी के डॉ. बलीगा नगर में 1 अप्रैल को कोविड-19 संक्रमण के पहले मामले की पुष्टि हुई थी और यह महानगर प्रशासन के लिए खतरे की घंटी के समान था।

हालांकि शुरुआती पखवाड़े में धारावी में संक्रमण के प्रसार की दर कुछ धीमी रही और संक्रमण के लगभग 100 मामले ही सामने आए थे, लेकिन 3 मई तक यह आंकड़ा 500 की संख्या को पार कर गया।

बृहन्मुंबई महानगरपालिका (बीएमसी) के 6 मई तक के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक धारावी में संक्रमण के दोगुनी होने की अवधि 6 दिन है और यहां के ज्यादातर कोविड-19 मरीज 31 से 40 वर्ष आयु वर्ग समूह के हैं। धारावी की आबादी करीब 6.5 लाख है। यहां का जनसंख्या घनत्व 2,27,136 है। बीएमसी सूत्रों के मुताबिक नगर निकाय 213 निरुद्ध क्षेत्रों में आवश्यक वस्तुओं और दवाइयों की आपूर्ति कर रहा है।

धारावी पुनर्विकास समिति के प्रमुख राजू कोरदे ने कहा कि उपयुक्त स्वच्छता सुविधाओं के अभाव और कमरों में अधिक संख्या में लोगों का रहना इलाके में कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण फैलने का मुख्य कारण है। 

कोरदे ने कहा कि धारावी में छोटे-छोटे कमरे हैं और तंग गलियां हैं, इसलिए यदि बीएमसी केंटोनमेंट जोन बनाती भी है तो दो गज दूरी के नियमों का पालन करना असंभव है। नगर निकाय अधिकारियों के मुताबिक धारावी में 225 सामुदायिक शौचालय, 100 सार्वजनिक शौचालय और महाराष्ट्र आवास एवं क्षेत्र विकास प्राधिकरण द्वारा निर्मित 125 शौचालय हैं।

हॉटस्पॉट में लॉकडाउन को 31 मई तक बढ़ाने पर विचार : महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने गुरुवार को मुंबई महानगर क्षेत्र (एमएमआर), पुणे, सोलापुर, औरंगाबाद और मालेगांव में लॉकडाउन 31 मई तक बढ़ाने का इरादा जताया है, जो राज्य में कोविड-19 हॉटस्पॉट (संक्रमण से अत्यधिक प्रभावित क्षेत्र) के रूप में उभरे हैं। एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने यह जानकारी दी। मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे की अध्यक्षता में हुई बैठक के दौरान इन स्थानों पर  प्रतिबंधों को बढ़ाने की संभावना पर चर्चा की गई। (भाषा)
