पुडुचेरी के पूर्व स्थानीय प्रशासन मंत्री ए एलुमलाई की बुधवार को यहां केंद्र सरकार के जिपमेर अस्पताल में कोविड-19 संक्रमण से मौत हो गई। स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण निदेशक एस मोहन कुमार ने बताया कि एलुमलाई (53) को संक्रमित पाए जाने के बाद मंगलवार को अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था। बुधवार को उन्होंने दम तोड़ दिया। उनके परिवार में पत्नी और तीन बेटे हैं। वर्ष 2001 में तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री एन रंगासामी की अगुवाई वाले कांग्रेस मंत्रिमंडल में एलुमलाई स्थानीय प्रशासन मंत्री रहे। वे राज्य के पुडुचेरी एग्रो सर्विसेज एंड इंडस्ट्रियल कारपोरेशन के अध्यक्ष भी रहे।

छत्तीसगढ़ के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. रमनसिंह की पत्नी वीणा सिंह की कोविड-19 की रिपोर्ट पॉज़िटिव आई है। यह जानकारी रमन सिंह ने खुद ट्वीट करके दी है। रमनसिंह ने ट्वीट में लिखा कि उनकी पत्नी को डॉक्टर्स की सलाह पर हॉस्पिटल में भर्ती कर रहे हैं। साथ ही मैं व मेरे परिवार के अन्य सदस्य भी आइसोलेशन में रहकर जांच कराएंगे। आपसे भी अनुरोध है कि जो भी हमारे संपर्क में आया हो वे भी आइसोलेट रहकर जांच कराएं।

-पाकिस्तान में पिछले 24 घंटे में कोविड-19 के 730 नए मामले सामने आने के बाद देश में कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण के मामलों की संख्या बढ़कर 2,85,921 हो गई है।
-स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने बताया कि वायरस से 17 और लोगों की जान जाने से मृतक संख्या बढ़कर 6,129 हो गई है।
-मंत्रालय ने बताया कि अभी तक 2,63,193 लोग ठीक हो चुके हैं। वहीं, 785 मरीजों की हालत गंभीर है।

कोविड-19 मरीजों से ली गई अधिक राशि का 51 फीसदी हिस्सा लौटाया
-महाराष्ट्र के कल्याण डोंबिवली नगर निगम (केडीएमसी) ने निजी अस्पतालों द्वारा कोविड-19 मरीजों से ली गई अधिक राशि का करीब 51 फीसदी हिस्सा संबंधित मरीजों को लौटा दिया है।
-अधिक शुल्क वसूले जाने के संबंध में मिली शिकायतों के बाद केडीएमसी आयुक्त डॉक्टर विजय सूर्यवंशी ने निकाय क्षेत्र के दायरे में कोविड-19 मरीजों का इलाज रहे सभी अस्पतालों के लेखा-जोखा जांच का आदेश दिया था।

-न्यूज़ीलैंड के सबसे बड़े शहर ऑकलैंड में वैश्विक महामारी कोरोनावायरस (Covid-19) के खतरे को देखते हुए बुधवार से 3 दिन के लिए लेवल 3 का सख्त लॉकडाउन लागू किया जाएगा, जबकि कोरोना के चार नए मामले सामने आने के बाद शेष देश में लेवल 2 का लॉकडाउन लगाया जाएगा।
