हम साथ-साथ है' ने 1999-2000 में कमाई के कई रिकॉर्ड तोड़े। उस समय में भी इस फिल्म ने 81 करोड़ से ज्यादा की कमाई की। लेकिन यही फिल्म, फिल्म इंडस्ट्री की एक बेहतरीन अदाकारा के लिए बाय-बाय फिल्म हो गई। बात हो रही है कल्पना अय्यर की, जो एक समय में फिल्म इंडस्ट्री की बोल्ड और बेहतरीन डांसर में से एक मानी जाती रही हैं। 'वेबदुनिया' संवाददाता रूना आशीष ने उनसे खास बातचीत भी की।
कल्पना कहां हैं आप इन दिनों?
मैं दुबई में हूं। 'हम साथ-साथ हैं' के समय मेरी निजी जिंदगी में बहुत सारी ऐसी बातें हो रही थीं, तो मैंने निर्णय लिया और इस देश में आ गई। इस देश ने मेरा बहुत खयाल रखा है। मैं यहां एक नौकरी के सिलसिले में आई थी। उस कंपनी, उस जगह पर मैंने लगभग 16 साल तक काम किया और बड़े मजे से काम किया। लेकिन फिर कंपनी में कुछ तब्दीलियां आईं और मैं उस कंपनी के साथ आगे का सफर तय करने मैं असमर्थ थी। तब मैंने दूसरी नौकरी ढूंढी और फिर वहां साढ़े 4 साल तक काम किया। वहां मुझे मेरा मेहनताना नहीं मिला और इस बात का दु:ख मुझे हमेशा रहेगा। कैटरिंग का बिजनेस इन दिनों कैसे चलेगा, ये कहना तो मुश्किल है और अभी के समय में जरा मुश्किल भी लग रहा है। लेकिन मेरी वो लड़ाई मैं पूरी लड़ना चाहती हूं। उसके लिए कई और भी बातों को बताना और सामने लाना होगा, जो अभी नहीं लाना चाहती। लेकिन कोई भी मेरी मेहनत के मेहनताने को ऐसे ही नहीं ले सकेगा। यह बात 1 साल पहले की है और सही समय आने पर मैं वो लड़ाई लडूंगी जरूर।

आप दुबई में हैं और वहां माहौल कैसा है अभी?
यहां कुछ समय हो गया है। माहौल बहुत नियंत्रण में है। सैनिटेशन पर पूरा ध्यान दिया जाता है। साफ-सफाई पूरी तरह से की जा रही है। यहां लोगों का आना-जाना तकरीबन 1 महीने से चल रहा है। जल्द ही जिंदगी भी पटरी पर लौट आएगी। कुछ समय पहले तक हम पूरे परिवार के साथ बाहर आसानी से घूम-फिर नहीं पा रहे थे, क्योंकि परिवार के 3 लोगों को ही बाहर एकसाथ निकलने की अनुमति मिली थी। मैं इस देश में इतने सालों से रह रही हूं कि अब तो यहां की साफ साई-सफाई की आदत-सी हो गई है। लेकिन अभी जो सरकार ने देखरेख और बढ़ा दी है, हम सभी उस बात को आदत में ला रहे हैं। पहले भी घरेलू सामान पहुंच जाता था लेकिन लोग कई दिनों से खुद भी अनुमति मिलने के बाद बाहर जाने लगे हैं। अब मेरी उम्र भी 64 साल है तो मैं भी बहुत सारी बातों का ख्याल रख रही हूं। कहीं भी जाती हूं तो मास्क या हैंडग्लव्ज लगाकर जाती हूं। यहां जब सरकार ने थोड़ी ढील दी तो मैं पार्लर भी जाकर आई और कभी-कभार सैर पर भी जाकर आती हूं। लेकिन घर पर ही रहना पसंद करती हूं। वैसे भी इस समय ने हमें सिखाया है कि कैसे हम फिजूल काम न करें और कोई चीज की बर्बादी न करें।
आप फिल्मों से दूर हो गईं, मिस करती हैं?
अगर मैं कहूं कि नहीं करती तो मैं झूठ बोल रही हूं। मैंने तकरीबन 20 साल फिल्मों में काम किया है तो मैं मिस तो करूंगी ही। लेकिन अगर मेरे हाथों की लकीरों में लिखा है कि मैं फिल्मों में लौटूंगी तो मैं लौट आऊंगी। मैं फिल्मों, सीरियल और वेबसीरीज कहीं भी काम कर सकती हूं। जिसे लगा कि मुझे भी काम देना चाहिए वो मुझसे बात कर सकते हैं, मैं क्यों रोल नहीं करना चाहूंगी। वैसे भी जो लोग मुझे जानते हैं, वो ये भी जानते हैं कि मैं बहुत सिंसीयर हूं। रोल छोटे या बड़े में यकीन नहीं रखती बल्कि वो कितना जरूरी रोल है, इस बात पर यकीन रखती हूं।
आप अपने इस सफर को कैसे देखती हैं?
मैंने बहुत कम उम्र में काम करना शुरू कर दिया था। मुझे डांस करना पसंद था तो धीरे-धीरे प्रोफेशनली डांस करने लगी। स्टेज शोज किए। एक से बढ़कर एक लोगों से मिलना हुआ और उनके साथ काम करने का मौका मिला और बहुत कुछ सीखा। फिर ब्यूटी कॉंन्टेस्ट में पहुंची। कुछ जीते। ऐसे करते-करते मिस वर्ल्ड बन गईं। वहां शायद किसी ने नोटिस किया। फिर राजश्री फिल्म्स की फिल्म 'मनोकामना' मिली। कई लोगों को लगा कि मैं बड़े रोल के लिए इंतजार करूंगी, जो मैंने नहीं किया। फिर देव साहब ने मुझे 'लूटमार' ऑफर की। उसी सेट पर मैंने 'कुदरत' साइन की। फिर आई 'साजन की सहेली', फिर 'प्यारा दुश्मन' साइन की जिसमें 'हरि ओम हरि...' गाना किया। बाकी तो आप जानते ही हैं। मैं बहुत खुश थी। मैं सिर्फ डांस करती रही।
मेरी आखिरी फिल्म 'हम साथ-साथ हैं' के दौरान ही मैंने टीवी सीरियल करना शुरू कर दिए थे। मैंने 'बनेगी अपनी बात' और 'कुरुक्षेत्र' जैसे बेहतरीन सीरियल किए। मैंने और भी सीरियल किए, जैसे 'फरमान' और 'कशिश'। मुझे जो मिला मैंने कभी कोई शिकायत नहीं की। 'हम साथ-साथ हैं' के बाद मुझे लगा कि मुझे एक ब्रेक की जरूरत है तो मैं अपने एक दोस्त के बुलाने पर दुबई आ गई।
मेरे बारे में सभी लोग यह बोलते हैं कि जबसे मैं दुबई शिफ्ट हुई हूं, मेरे अपने रेस्टॉरेंट हैं लेकिन ऐसा है नहीं। मैं रेस्टॉरेंट बिजनेस में काम करती हूं। दो जगह पर मैंने जॉब किया है और वहां बहुत अच्छा समय बीता मेरा। मैं फिल्म इंडस्ट्री को कितना मिस करती हूं यह बताना जरा मुश्किल है, क्योंकि जितने समय मैंने फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में काम किया, उतना ही समय मैंने यहां पर भी काम किया है। तो दोनों में से किसे ज्यादा मिस कर रही हूं या किसे ज्यादा पसंद कर रही हूं, यह कहना बहुत मुश्किल हो जाता है मेरे लिए। खासकर तब जब मुझे अपने इस काम से भी गिला-शिकवा नहीं है बल्कि मैं तो कहूंगी मुझे अच्छा ही लगा यहां काम करना।

वर्तमान दौर की फिल्में देखती हैं?
सारी तो नहीं, लेकिन बहुत कुछ देख लेती हूं। यह कहना कि मैं किसे बहुत पसंद करती हूं या कम पसंद करती हूं तो मैं उस बात में न जाते हुए बस इतना ही बताना चाहूंगी कि फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में इन दिनों चीजों को पेश करने का तरीका बहुत बदल गया है और बहुत खूबसूरत हो गया है। जहां तक एक्टिंग का सवाल है, तो कुछ लोग बहुत ही टैलेंटेड हैं और कुछ लोग बहुत ही मेहनती हैं और मुझे सभी तरह के नए आर्टिस्ट पसंद हैं। आजकल के सेट हों या निर्देशन की बात हो, सभी बहुत बेहतरीन होते जा रहे हैं और उससे बढ़कर बात यह कि अब तो ओटीटी प्लेटफॉर्म भी आ गए हैं जिसकी वजह से कई लोगों को लंबे समय तक इंतजार करते नहीं रहना पड़ता है तथा उन्हें काम मिलता रहता है और वे काम करते रहते हैं और ओटीटी प्लेटफॉर्म की वजह से कई लोगों को कई तरह के शोज प्रोग्राम या फिल्में देखना मिल रही हैं, जो बहुत ही अच्छी बात है।
इस देश में आपको दोस्त मिल गए हैं, क्योंकि काफी समय से आप यहां पर हैं?
मुझे दोस्त मिल गए हैं लेकिन मैं बहुत सोशल या सोशलाइज करने में यकीन नहीं रखती हूं। मैं मुंबई में भी जब काम करती थी तभी मैं बहुत सारा बहुत ज्यादा लोगों के पास नहीं मिला-जुला करती थी, सोशल नहीं हुआ करती थी लेकिन यहां इतने समय से हूं तो मेरा अपना नया सर्कल बन गया और उसमें मैं बस खुश भी रहती हूं। यहां पर भी बहुत जगह पर बुलाया जाता है, लेकिन मैं जाती नहीं हूं। मैं पहले भी ऐसी थी और आज भी ऐसी ही हूं कि मुझे घर पर रहना ज्यादा पसंद आता है। दोस्त बहुत जरूरी भी होते हैं लेकिन कई बार मैं घर पर रहना, किताबें पढ़ना या संगीत सुनना या फिर वॉक पर जाना या घर वालों के साथ बाहर खाना खाने जाना- ये सब चीजें ज्यादा इंजॉय करती हूं।
क्या आपका भारत आना-जाना होता है?
बहुत ज्यादा नहीं होता। पहले मेरी मां जब मेरे साथ हुआ करती थी और मेरे साथ यहां रहा करती थी तब मेरा फिर भी कई बार आना-जाना हो जाता था। अभी भी मेरी एक बहन बेंगलुरु में रहती है अपने परिवार के साथ और मैं यहां अपनी छोटी बहन और उसके बेटे के साथ रहती हूं। जब तक मां थीं, भारत दीदी से मिलने जाती थी लेकिन अब जब सारा परिवार यहीं है और मां नहीं हैं, तब कम हो गया है।
क्या आप अभी भी अपने पुराने फिल्मी दोस्तों के टच में हैं?
कुछ अच्छे दोस्त हैं और मैं उनके टच में हूं लेकिन मैं उनका नाम नहीं लेना चाहती, क्योंकि कहीं ऐसा न लगे कि मैं उनका नाम लेकर कोई पब्लिसिटी चाहूंगी या फिर मैं चाहूंगी कि वे मेरे पास कोई प्रपोजल लेकर आए। बात पर्सनल है। वे दोस्त मेरे लिए बहुत खास हैं और वे जानते हैं कि मैं इतना ही कह सकती हूं लेकिन वे मेरे दिल के बहुत करीब हैं।
अब आगे क्या करने वाली हैं आप?
मैंने कभी भी चीजें प्लान नहीं की हैं। जैसी जिंदगी सामने आई, मैंने उसे मैनेज किया है। मैंने कभी भी पीछे मुड़कर नहीं देखा और न ही टटोला कि बात सही हुई या नहीं हुई? सामने जो चीज आई, उस चीज को देखा तथा उसे पसंद किया और आगे बढ़ी। जो जिंदगी दिखाए, मैं वैसा देखने को तैयार हूं।
