अपने शायराना अंदाज से पत्रकारों को शायराना रंग से रंगने के लिए कुछ इस तरह तैयार होकर आए थे धर्मेन्द्र। 82 साल की उमर में भी अपनी हंसी और जिंदादिली की मिसाल पेश करते धर्मेन्द्र को एक बार फिर से दर्शक के सामने आ रहे हैं 'यमला पगला दीवाना फिर से' के जरिए। धर्मेन्द्र से बात कर रही हैं 'वेबदुनिया' संवाददाता रूना आशीष।
अपने दौर की क्या बातें मिस करते हैं?
उस समय को, अपने लोगों को और उस माहौल को। जैसा शाम को बैठकर एकसाथ भजिया खाना। मैं मेरे साथ काम करने वाले वर्कर्स के साथ मिल-जुलकर रहता था। मैं मिडिल क्लास का हूं, तो मुझे वैसा माहौल ज्यादा पसंद आता है। उस समय लोग अपने घरों से अपना-अपना टिफिन लेकर आते थे और हर घर का एक टेस्ट होता था, तो मुझे उनका टिफिन खाने में मजा आता था और मैं कभी अपने आपको बदल नहीं सका हूं। मैं वही सानेवाल का रहने वाला हूं।
आप पर्दे पर तो हीमैन हैं और पर्दे के पीछे शायराना और अदब वाले, कैसे करते हैं तालमेल?
मैं बहुत ही जज्बाती इंसान हूं। शुरू में किसी ने मुझसे कहा कि मैं अंडरप्ले करता हूं एक्टिंग में, तो मुझे नहीं मालूम था कि अंडरप्ले क्या होता है? मैं किसी स्कूल में नहीं गया एक्टिंग सीखने। जो सीखा, वो यहीं सीखा। वैसे भी एक्टिंग एक्शन-रिएक्शन होता है। कोई भी शख्स जो जज्बाती होता है, वो किसी भी परिस्थिति में खूब रिएक्ट करता है और एकदम जल्दी से रिएक्ट कर देता है। उसका रिएक्शन एकदम से बहुत बड़ा हो जाता है। मैंने पर्दे पर भी वही किया। मैं मजाकिया हूं, तो इमोशनल भी हूं। जो हूं, वो हूं। वैसे भी मैं एक अच्छा इंसान हूं। मैं सबकी बातें सुनता रहता हूं। बाकी पर्दे पर जो है, वो तो करते रहना पड़ेगा।
आजकल के हीरो में आप क्या खूबियां देखते हैं?
बहुत से लोग बहुत रियलिस्टक हैं। अभी रणबीर की फिल्म देखी मैंने। उसने अपना किरदार जी दिया पर्दे पर। रणवीर की फिल्म 'पद्मावत' देखी तो मैंने सीट से खड़े होकर उसे सैल्यूट किया। आमिर की फिल्म 'दंगल' देखकर मैं रो दिया। ये लोग बहुत ही बेहतरीन एक्टर्स हैं और बहुत अच्छा काम करते हैं। मुझे लगता है कि ये लोग मुझसे भी बेहतर हैं।
आपने अपनी फिल्में कैसे चुनीं?
मेरी किस्मत बहुत अच्छी रही कि मुझे निर्देशक बहुत अच्छे मिले, अच्छी कहानियां मिलीं और अच्छे स्क्रीनप्ले मिला। जब आपका कैप्टन अच्छा हो तो आप चौके-छक्के मार देते हैं।

बहुत मजा आया। पुराने दिन याद आ गए। हम लोग ऐसे ही मस्ती करते रहे दिनभर और हमारी मस्ती देखकर सनी भी बोल पड़ा कि जिस दिन मौका मिलेगा, आप लोगों को लेकर फिर से फिल्म बना लूंगा। मैं ऐसा ही हूं। बस मजाक करते रहो। अच्छा लगता है।

वो फिल्म फाइनेंस में अटक गई थी। फिल्म की फाइनेंस इकट्ठा करना इतना आसान नहीं होता है। ये एक अपने आप में पूरी प्रोसेस होती है।

जैसे आज संभालता हूं, तब भी वैसे ही संभाला। मैंने एक अच्छे इंसान की तरह व्यवहार किया बस!
आपको और हेमा मालिनी को कब साथ में देखा जा सकेगा?
देखिए वक्त-वक्त की बात है। उस समय की बात कुछ और थी। हमारी फिल्में जब गोल्डन जुबली या सिल्वर जुबली कर रही थीं, तब उस समय भी हमने इस बात को लेकर कभी कोई शूं-शां वाली बात नहीं की। फिर समय बदल गया। फिर कोई स्क्रिप्ट भी तो हो ऐसी हो। लेकिन कहानी कोई ऐसी आती है तो हम साथ में जरूर कोई फिल्म करेंगे।
धरमजी, आप पर बायोपिक बनाई जाए तो कौन आपका किरदार निभाए?
मैंने इस बारे में कुछ सोचा नहीं है, लेकिन कोई भी रोल कर सकता है। वैसे भी मेरी जिंदगी में ऐसा कुछ नहीं है, जो दिखाया न जा सकता हो। जो किया, वो सबके सामने है।

मेरा रोमांस दुनिया का सबसे पवित्र रोमांस है।

आपको शे'र-ओ-शायरी का शौक कब से हुआ?
एक जज्बाती इंसान को बहुत कुछ आता है। कई बार दर्द नहीं निकल पाता है तो शायरी मदद कर देती है। एक बार मैंने कुछ लोगों को सुनाया कि-
दिल का बोझ ना बन जाए उन पर बोझ
हल्का करने से डरता हूं
शिद्दत-ए-दर्द फक्त जबसे प्यार करता हूं
सोच में सवाल ये उनकी शे'र ये मेरा ना था
कर खारिज नाम अपना मैंने भी शे'र गैर के कर दिया।
मैंने कहा पता नहीं कलाम किसका है यारों लिखा किसने है
एक दिन वर्क हाथ आ गया
पढ़ा और आज तुमको सुना दिया।
बेचारे की जब कहे ना बनी होगी

फिर जो गुफ्तगू हुई होगी

मैंने कभी किसी को पढ़ा नहीं। न तो मेरे पास इतना हाजमा है कि मैं उसे पढूं और हजम कर लूं। हां, मैंने गालिब को चखा जरूर है।
आप पंजाब से हैं, तो कुछ यादें हैं?
मैं तो हूं ही पंजाब का बेटा। मेरी फिल्में वैसे भी वहां चलती हैं। लेकिन मजा तो तब है, जब वो यूपी में भी उतनी ही चलें। मेरी मां जालंधर-लुधियाना की है, तो ऐसा है कि पंजाब की मां ने सजा-संवारकर मुझे महाराष्ट्र मां के हाथों सौंप दिया है। महाराष्ट्र मां ने भी मुझे अपने दूसरे बच्चों की तरह गोद में जगह दी। आज जो हूं, वो महाराष्ट्र मां की वजह से हूं।
