केवल दूरदर्शन आया करता था। बिना रिमोट के टीवी हुआ करते थे। हम टीवी खरीदने वाले अपनी कॉलोनी में पहले व्यक्ति थे, इसलिए हर दोस्त और रिश्तेदार टीवी देखने हमारे घर आया करता था। हम सभी बच्चे साथ में नीचे बैठते थे और सभी बुजुर्ग कुर्सियों पर बैठते थे, कम से कम 20-25 लोग एक बार में हॉल में एक साथ मिलकर प्रोग्राम देखा करते थे।
मुझे याद है कि वॉशरूम जाना किसी दर्द से कम नहीं था। इतने लोगों के बीच नंबर आने में समय लगता था। मुझे याद कि जैसे थिएटर में लेट नाईट शो के वक़्त जो हालात होते हैं, वैसे हमारे घर में होता था। कोई भी टीवी देखते हुए अपनी आंखों को नहीं झपकाता था।

मुझे नहीं लगता कि मेरी पीढ़ी का कोई भी ऐसा व्यक्ति होगा जिसे वो दिन याद नहीं होगा जब उसके घर में टेलीविजन आया था। मुझे याद है जिस दिन मेरे पिता पहली बार टीवी घर लाए, मैं और मेरा भाई बंद होने पर भी उसे घूरते रहे थे। हम हैरत में थे। मेरी मां ने हमें उसे छूने की अनुमति नहीं दी थी और उसे एक कपड़े से ढक कर रखा थे।
हम टीवी के बटन और स्क्रीन को झांकते और छूते रहते थे। यह मेरे जीवन की सबसे खूबसूरत यादों में से एक है। मैंने और मेरे भाई कृषि दर्शन सहित ऑन एयर पर आने वाले हर प्रोग्राम को देखा करते थे। मेरा पसंदीदा चित्रहार था लेकिन जब नो सिंगल होने पर जो कलरफुल लाइन्स आती थी और उससे टीईई की आवाज़ आती थी।

हां, मुझे याद है कि जब मेरे पिता ने पहला ब्लैक एंड व्हाइट ओनिडा टीवी खरीदा था। यह वास्तव में आश्चर्यजनक था। सारे पड़ोसी धारावाहिक देखने के लिए हमारे घर आते थे। शो के दौरान पिन-ड्रॉप साइलेंस होता था। मैं सभी पड़ोसियों के साथ महाभारत, रामायण, कृष्ण, चंद्रकांता जैसे शोज देखता था।

मेरे जन्म से पहले टी वी मेरे घर पर था। हम शक्तिमान, टॉम एंड जेरी, बूगी-वूगी, केबीसी, यस बॉस, शाकालाका बूम बूम आदि शोज अपने भाई-बहनों के साथ देखते थे।

मुझे याद है कि जब मैं तीसरी कक्षा में था तब मैं पूरी तरह से टीवी से जुड़ चुका था। मैं हातिम, शरारत जैसे शो देखता था। धीरे-धीरे समय के साथ टेलीविजन और उसके प्रोग्राम के लिए मेरा प्यार बढ़ता चला गया क्योंकि छोटे शहरों में लोगों का सबसे अच्छा मनोरंजन टेलीविजन ही होता है।

पुनीत चौकसे-
वह समय बहुत ही शानदार था, बहुत कम चैनल आते थे और हमारी कॉलोनी में सिर्फ हमारे पास टेलीविजन था, इसलिए हर रविवार को लगभग पूरी कॉलोनी के लोग रामायण और महाभारत देखने के लिए हमारे घर पर आते थे। शनिवार को मैं और मेरे दोस्त शक्तिमान देखा करते थे। शक्तिमान देखने के लिए मैं स्कूल से छुट्टी लेने का बहाना बनाता था। वो सब कभी ना भूलने वाले दिन हैं।

मैं सौभाग्यशाली था कि मेरे जन्म से पहले ही हमारे परिवार के पास एक टेलीविजन था, लेकिन हां यह ज़रूर था कि टेलीविजन बहुत ही बुनियादी था। जिसमें केवल 8 चैनल थे और मुझे याद है कि उन दिनों केवल 3-4 चैनल ही प्रसारित होते थे। मैं महाभारत, चंद्रकांता, जंगल बुक आदि जैसे शोज देखा करता था। बुनियाद और हमलोग जैसे शोज का इतना समृद्ध कंटेंट था कि मुझे कभी-कभी लगता है कि हमारी पीढ़ी के अभिनेताओं को भी क्या ऐसे शोज मिल सकते हैं काम के लिए।

आप सभी को विश्व टेलीविजन दिवस की शुभकामनाएं। मैं 1981 की बात कर रहा हूं, जब हम टीवी देखने के लिए पड़ोसियों के घर पर जाते थे। उस समय टेलीविजन की शुरुआत थी, तब कृषि दर्शन जैसे कुछ शोज ही प्रसारित होते थे। बाद में जब बुनियाद, देख भाई देखा, महाभारत और रामायण जैसे डेली शो शुरू हुए। उस समय के ये प्रमुख शो थे।

मुझे अच्छी तरह से याद है जब मेरे माता-पिता ने हमारा पहला टीवी खरीदा था। वह ब्लैक एंड व्हाइट था। मैं बहुत उत्साहित था। सबसे पहला प्रोग्राम जो मुझे याद है वो समाचार था। हम रविवार का इंतज़ार करते थे क्योंकि यह एकमात्र दिन होता था जब सुबह से शोज प्रसारित हुआ करता था।
हम लोग, बुनियाद सहित सब कुछ देखते थे जो भी टीवी पर आता था क्योंकि बहुत कम शोज आते थे तो हम सबकुछ देखा करते थे। ज्यादातर मैं मॉम के साथ टीवी देखता था। कभी-कभी हमारे पड़ोसी भी हमारे साथ टीवी देखने हमारे घर पर आते थे।

मुझे याद नहीं है कि हमारे घर में टेलीविज़न कब आया था क्योंकि जब मैं पैदा हुआ था उससे पहले टेलीविज़न मेरे घर पर था। मुझे याद है कि देख भाई देख जैसे शोज मैं देखा करता था, जो मेरे पसंदीदा शो में से एक हुआ करता था। मुझे यह भी याद है कि मेरी दादी यह सुनिश्चित करती थी कि हम टीवी पर 26 जनवरी और 15 अगस्त का प्रोग्राम ज़रूर देखें।

अंश बागरी-
टेलीविजन बहुत महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है और इसने कई लोगों को प्रेरित किया है। यह हमें लोगों को यह समझाने में जागरूक बनाता है कि परिवेश में क्या हो रहा है। जब मैं छोटा था तो हम टीवी देखने के लिए पड़ोसियों के घर पर जाते थे कई बार वे हमें अपने घर पर नहीं लेते थे। मेरे घर पर रंगीन टीवी लाना मेरा सपना था। फिर मेरे पिता ने रंगीन टीवी खरीदा और हम फैमिली नंबर वन, ऑफिस ऑफिस, हम पंछी और कई अन्य शो देखते थे।
