* बंधुजनों को मिठाई का सेवन कराने से भी मंगल शुभ बनता है।
 
* लाल वस्त्र लेकर उसमें दो मुट्ठी मसूर की दाल बांधकर मंगलवार के दिन किसी भिखारी को दान करनी चाहिए।
 
* मंगलवार के दिन हनुमानजी के चरण से सिंदूर लेकर उसका टीका माथे पर लगाना चाहिए।
 
* बंदरों को गुड़ और चने खिलाने चाहिए। 
 
* अपने घर में लाल पुष्प वाले पौधे या वृक्ष लगाकर उनकी देखभाल करनी चाहिए।
 
* मंगल के दुष्प्रभाव निवारण के लिए किए जा रहे टोटकों हेतु मंगलवार का दिन, मंगल का नक्षत्र (मृगशिरा, चित्रा, धनिष्ठा) तथा मंगल की होरा शुभ होते हैं।
 
लाल किताब कहती है कि अगर कुंडली में मंगल दोषपूर्ण हो तो विवाह के समय घर में भूमि खोदकर उसमें तंदूर या भट्टी नहीं लगानी चाहिए।
