ये बॉलीवुड है। यहां सेक्स की बात करना मना है। लेकिन फिर भी आप आइए। हम यहां आपको अपनी फ़िल्मों में तड़कीला-भड़कीला नाच-गाना दिखाएंगे। जहां अभिनेत्रियां नाभि और सीने को दिखाते हुए गहरी सांसें लेती नज़र आती हैं और जहां महिलाओं की मुख्य भूमिका वाली ऐसी फ़िल्में होंगी जो निराश करती हैं।
जब बॉलीवुड में महिलाओं के चित्रण पर बातचीत की जाती है तो इसी तरह के दृश्य आंखों के समाने तैरने लगते हैं।
दरअसल, सिर्फ बॉलीवुड में ही नहीं बल्कि भारत के सभी बड़े फ़िल्म उद्योगों में नायिकाएं एक सजावटी सामान की तरह ही होती हैं। अगर उसमें कोई हीरो है तो वो ही मुख्य भूमिका में रहता है; हीरोईन का काम सिर्फ़ प्यार और पूजा करना होता है और जैसे ही हीरो परदे पर आता है तो हीरोईन सीन से गायब हो जाती है।
जब फ़िल्म निर्माता फिल्मों के माध्यम से जाति और वर्ग से जुड़े वर्जित मुद्दों को उठाते थे तब उन फ़िल्मों में किरदार निभाने वाली नायिकाओं के काम को पहचाना और सराहा जाता था और ऐसा एक जमाने में हॉलीवुड में भी होता रहा है।
मनोरंजन बना गया ज़रूरी
लेकिन, साल 1950 के बाद स्थितियां बदल गईं। 1960 के दौरान और उसके बाद, जब फ़िल्मों में मनोरंजन ही मुख्य मुद्दा बन गया, तब सारी नज़रें पुरुषों पर टिक गईं और महिलाएं दरकिनार होकर एक दूसरी नागरिक जैसे हो गईं। मांएं अपने बेटे को गाजर का हलवा खिलाती हैं, बहनें सुरक्षा के लिए भाई की कलाई पर राखी बांधती हैं, पत्नियां और प्रेमिकाएं नायक की लंबी उम्र के लिए व्रत रखती हैं।
1990 के मध्य में करण जौहर, ''नए बॉलीवुड'' के एक प्रमुख रचयिता, ने अपनी फ़िल्म 'कुछ कुछ होता है' रिलीज़ की जिसमें मुख्य किरदार निभा रहे शाहरुख खान को अपना सच्चा प्यार मिल जाता है।
फ़िल्म की हीरोइन काजोल का किरदार एक टॉमबॉय का है जो छोटे बाल रखती है और बहुत अच्छा बास्केटबॉल खेलती है। लेकिन, जब वह एक आकर्षक शिफोन की साड़ी पहनती है और हीरो को मैच जीतने देती है तभी वो उसका ध्यान खींचने लायक हो पाती है।
यह फ़िल्म ज़बरदस्त हिट हुई थी और आधुनिक बॉलीवुड रोमांस का एक उदाहरण बन गई थी। करण जौहर अब ये बात मानते हैं कि एक टॉमबॉय की तरह रहने वाली लड़की को कम महत्व देकर उन्होंने सही नहीं किया जिससे यह संदेश गया कि जो महिलाएं साड़ी पहनती हैं और शर्मिली होती हैं उन्हें ही लड़के पसंद करते हैं।
अपमानित करते दृश्य, संवाद और बोल
महिलाओं को अपमानित करते संवाद फ़िल्म का ऐसा सामान्य हिस्सा बन गए हैं जिन पर हम ध्यान भी नहीं देते। नायिकाओं की अक्सर उनके खूबसूरत शरीर के लिए कार से तुलना की जाती है।

हीरोइन का पूरी सफेद साड़ी पहनकर पानी के झरने के नीचे खड़े होना अब प्रचलन में नहीं है लेकिन ऐसा दूसरे तरीकों से अब भी किया जाता है। अब आधे कपड़े पहनाए जाते हैं, कैमरे से नायिका के हर एक अंग को उभारकर दिखाया जाता है। अश्लील और दोहरे अर्थ वाले गीतों के बोल तो बॉलीवुड का गहरा हिस्सा बन चुके हैं।
इस पर बहस हो सकती है और होती रही है कि फ़िल्म निर्माता अपनी फिल्मों के माध्यम से भारतीय समाज में गहराई से व्याप्त पितृसत्ता, लैंगिक भेदभाव और महिलाओं के प्रति दुर्व्यवहार की हकीकत दिखाते हैं।
लेकिन, हॉलीवुड के जाने-माने फ़िल्म निर्माता हार्वी वाइनस्टीन पर लगे यौन शोषण के आरोपों के बाद क्या इसका पता नहीं चलता कि हॉलीवुड फ़िल्मों में कास्टिंग कैसे की जाती है। इन मामलों को लेकर बॉलीवुड में भी एक हलचल और जागरूकता महसूस की जा रही है। कुछ अभिनेत्रियां 'कास्टिंग काउच' के ख़तरे को सामने ला रही हैं और बॉलीवुड को चला रहे पुरुषों को चुनौती दे रही हैं।
फ़िल्मों में दिखा बदलाव
जो फ़िल्मकार लीक से हटकरफ़िल्म बनाने की कोशिश करते हैं वो हमेशा हाशिये पर रहते हैं लेकिन अब एक आधुनिक और खुले भारत की बात करने वाली फ़िल्में भी अपनी तरफ ध्यान खींच रही हैं। खुशी की बात है कि 2017 बॉलीवुड में मज़बूत महिला किरदारों के लिए एक शानदार साल रहा है।
लिपस्टिक अंडर माय बुर्का, अनारकली ऑफ आरा, ए डेथ इन द गंज और तुम्हारी सुलु जैसी फ़िल्में आईं जिन्होंने अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया गया और महिलाओं को उनके पारंपरिक किरदारों में नहीं दिखाया गया। इन फ़िल्मों ने उनकी भावनात्मक और शारीरिक जरूरतों को अभिव्यक्त किया और सिवाय रो-रो कर पलके भिगोने के उनकी परिस्थितियों को बदलने के लिए रास्ते दिखाये।
बेशक ये फ़िल्में बड़े बजट वाली ब्लॉकब्लस्टर फ़िल्मों का हिस्सा नहीं हैं। लेकिन, हम ये देखकर थोड़ा संतोष कर सकते हैं कि 2017 की सबसे बड़ी बॉलीवुड हिट 'टाइगर ज़िंदा है' कि हीरोईन नायक के साथ एक्शन सीन करती नजर आती हैं। इससे बेहतर ये कि स्क्रीन पर कटरीना कैफ के रहते हुए सलमान ख़ान अकेले सारा ध्यान नहीं खींच रहे थे।...और ये अच्छी बात है।
